Went to this place for a birthday dinner and was pleasantly amazed at the food quality! Doesn't look like a whole lot from the outside (and actually had passed it and thought it was just a bar), but the food was excellent and the decor was certainly nice enough. They brought out a complimentary cornbread-type thing with a very good bean/guacamole dip, and we had the salmon tostada which was very good, and the mushroom burrito which was also good for the apps. The sea bass entree (which seemed to be ordered at every table) was good, but beyond the fish the dish didn't really work. Would probably have ordered a different entree. Was also told everything was a 'medium' level of spice on the whole menu, but the sea bass was not at all spicy. Tres leches cake with cherries for dessert was tasty, as was the chocolate cake, though not out of this world. Drinks were also excellent..pineapple margarita hit the spot. I highly recommend for anyone looking for very high quality New Mexican!

Very flavorful. well executed food, interesting menu, amazing complimentary bean dip, knowledgeable, friendly waitstaff, walking distance to theaters and excellent value! So pleased we chose this restaurant!

Wonderful!!! Palm beer on draft is an awesome Belgian brew. Cornbread with black bean dip is very good. Like many NYC restaurants, very tight spaces. It's difficult to find a spot away from other people in this small dining area. But, with fast service and awesome food, we didn't care much. Def recommended!!!

Amazing! Funny story. Was hailing a cab and talking about the restaurant as we waited and random person overhead and told us how great the place was. She was right. Food and service were great. Respectable tequila menu for all you guys. To be fair, guac appetizer could have been bigger bc it was so good. Not table made, but good. Def recommended.

I was so glad I went there with people who like to share. We tried so many things and every dish was great. The duck empanada and the tuna tostada were my favs. Banana empandas for dessert were great too.

Some of these reviews are beyond skewed due to the fact that people are continuing to review the restaurant HK and not the Mexican restaurant Hell's Kitchen. The food at Hell's Kitchen is fantastic I cannot speak for HK but it sure seems most of the bad reviews are coming form what looks like HK.

I discovered Hell's Kitchen many years ago, when you could never get a table without a reservation. Even the bar was a rush-hour scene. I soon discovered that the popularity was well-deserved. I've been a steady fan for many years. Dishes are beautifully prepared, service is good, and the prices remain reasonable. No one cooks many of these dishes better and with more creativity. I've taken many friends and they've become fans. Gracious wait-staff and management. They notified me immediately when a friend forgot her credit card (they only had my phone number.) They were more than helpful when an elderly friend fell in the street and limped into the restaurant, upset and late. They made him feel like a king.
