    Good food, not good service

The food was good. The waitress was not good. I don't think I would go back there again.

No delivery to Atlantic & Henry?!?!

According to the hostess, delivery from Henry and Montague to Henry and Atlantic (4 blocks away) is 'too far'. WTF? I could walk that distance in 6-7 minutes, and yet no delivery. I'm sure they do well without, but they could be making even more money if they served the under-appreciated northern Cobble Hill delivery area.

    A welcomed Oasis

After a horrible early dinner in mid town my girl friend and I decided to venture over to the promenade for the sunset ,still needing something to satisfy our pallets , we stumbled upon this oasis. From the moment we arrived till we left we felt as though we were the most special customers of the day!! The sights the smells we so invigorating. Upon seating a small basket of the most wonderful bread arrived with Softened Spreadable Butter ,not the kind that just came of the refrigerator that tears up the bread. My girl friend ordered the wild mushroom ravioli with chicken ,eggplant ,spinach and sun dried tomatoes , the ravioli was cooked perfectly ,not gummy and the filling was warm, the sauce Was Not watery , the perfect temperature . and perfectly seasoned. and just the right portion size. I ordered the mussels, Possibly the best I have ever had, with lemon grass, curry, coconut milk and cilantro, the mussels were from the sea fresh , perfectly cooked , not mushy or hard just right , the sauce had just a hint of curry the cilantro the coconut milk and lemon grass balanced the entire dish out, The mussels were on the appetizer menu , but the portion is more than enough for a dinner considering you have to get extra bread for dipping up that wonderful sauce. We shared a dessert of warm apple strudel with vanilla gelato and warm Carmel sauce, it was to die for , nice soft apples plump raisins just a few nuts and a nice flaky pastry with a assume gelato. The staff was extremely attentive ,we never waited more than a minute or two for our water glasses to be refilled or any thing else we needed. Overall a superburb dining experience . A little Oasis that's just a short subway ride from Manhattan . WE Will Be Back Very Soon And often.

    brunch

this place has great brunch. my boyfriend LOVES their eggs benedict and they are one of the few places on montague that actually has a nice brunch atmosphere. Although they are a little pricey, what isnt these days....

    Great brunch

What a great brunch! The brioche french toast with pears and raisins was amazing, and my boyfriend was raving about his chicken sandwich on olive bread hours later. I look forward to going back.

    Better places around.

I come here occasionaly with friends, but have never been thrilled with it. The decor in the place is really nice. But it goes down hill from there. The food always leaves something to be desired, along with the service. The last time I was here I had brunch. The eggs benedict tasted as though they had been sitting under a heating lamp for about a half hour and lookd the same way. Every time I've been here the service has been slow... even when there is hardly anyone there! It's nice to sit outdoors in the summer... but once again, sitting somewhere nice doesn't make up for the over priced, not very tasty food.

    great neighborhood restaurant

My family are regulars at this restaurant and in our opinion its one of the best mid-range joints in the nabe - our neighbors seem to agree as its usually pretty busy and on a street where restaurants come and go with some frequency this one has stuck around for a long time. For the basics its great (the burgers are amongst my favorites in the city, my wife loves the chicken and her parents are big fans of the meatloaf - wrapped in bacon - whats not to love?), the more sophisticated dishes however are a bit hit or miss. We have a couple of young kids who are made very welcome and enjoy the fries, pizza, mac 'n cheese etc. Before 7PM on a weekend night, the place is 50% kids - which works for us, but may not be ideal for a romantic meal. Bizarely, they only take AmEx so remember to bring extra cash.
