inconsistant prices
Food is ok, overpriced. Atmosphere is enjoyable... I like to sit in this old diner for my entire lunch break. I get screwed every time I go to the counter to pay. EVERY TIME. My food always costs a different amount, and if you argue with the guy at the counter he is rude and insulting.

get lunch here every day
Our office is a few blocks from hector's and they deliver just one sandwich for you, if necessary. The food is great, never had anything bad. Fast delivery

Last of its kind
Hector's is wonderful. The ultimate nondescript joint to get something to eat. Friendly, efficient and quick.

ugh
we placed an order with them for delivery and after waiting for an HOUR, called them to see what was up - they said we didn't answer the buzzer (there are no less than 30 people in our office at any given time) - then after a few minutes, they realized they wrote the address down wrong but then said they wouldn't deliver anymore because it was too far! So after totally screwing up on their end, we were left starving and looking for a reputable eatery.....two hours later we caved and had Sun Chips for dinner.

very good and inexpensive, quick delivery
the people at this place are very nice and efficient. the delivery is super quick. the food is very good, especially for the price. try the steak sandwich! delicious

delicious burgers
I love this place, its convinently located infront of my clothing store, so i eat there pretty frequently. And i must say the food is great!, the pancakes are delicious and so are their burgers. The best part is the service, in a few minutes my order is always ready. I highly recomend Hector's

An Amazing Spot
Located directly beneath the old elevated trains of the lower west side, sits this absolutely classic diner. With lots of flavor and very reasonable prices, you'd be hard-pressed to find another venue like this in the up and coming "Meat Packing District". The meat comes fresh off the trucks and the clientele is made up of NYC's last real Meat Packers. I recommend the Omelettes and Pancakes.
