Not recommended. Tourist spot.
The only reason I can see for someone to go here is that they are one of the many tourists in midtown who don't know better. The beer is not bad, but that's just about the only non-negative of this place. The food is pretty lousy, especially for what you pay. You can get better food at what on of the many deli/cafes in the area for half the price. The service was not all too impressive, then again, this place seems a little understaffed, so I can't really blame the servers.

Fun for the afterwork girls
This location is great for the ladies that just want to sit at the bar, have a few drinks and some laughs afterwork . The bartenders are especially catering and fun, the drinks are good and priced right. The food is good also and moderately priced. It gets a little crowded sometimes, but still lots of fun.

It is what it is...
It's a great place to go for a quick bite to eat if you're in the area and don't feel like searching for another restaurant. It can be packed at times though, especially with tourists visiting Radio City or Rockefeller Center. A little overpriced, but that's what you get with this area of the city!

Great beer, crappy food
Service is friendly and beer is great. You can get better bar food at any bar in NYC.

Not bad
Heartland is a good place to come for lunch. They have several different and seasonal beers available on tap, and decent bar food. We like the buffalo chicken salad and the buffalo burgers are really good. It can get busy, and there is not a lot of room in which to wait, so that can be a drag. Very nice in the warmer weather when they have tables outside.

Not recommended
Our server had no other tables, but couldn't manage to even say thank you or check on us after our food was delivered. and was annoyed when asked for the check. We had to help ourselves to extra side plates, and felt the entire time that we were bothering her and the rest of the wait staff as they all sat and chatted about halloween costumes in the hostess stand. The food was far below average - and having eaten at the location in Union Square several times, we were unhappy and unsatisfied by both the food and the service. I will question going back to any of their locations.
