An absolute Must!
I've been going to Heartbeat for some time now and always enjoyed the friendly, relaxed but chic atmosphere and food. They recently changed their menu to reflect a Latin flair (with a great twist) and it's fabulous! Presentation, taste, accuracy and friendliness of the staff, it's all wonderful. You simply can’t go wrong no matter what you order. Great place for romantic dining or meeting with a group of friends or colleagues. I often bring my business meetings to Heartbeat, which always leaves a positive impression. Great food, friendly staff...all without the “sometimes unpleasant” NYC attitude. If you like Latin food, and even if you don’t, Heartbeat will be sure to please your taste buds! I always look forward to going back! Hope to see you there!

My Heartbeat experience.
I have dined at many restaurants in New York but I have never encounted a better all around experience. The setting in the W Hotel is just wonderful and upbeat. The service could not have been better and the presentation of the food was fabulous, not to mention the fine taste. I will most certainly recommend Heartbeat to my friends and family.

Great for a blind date
I have been set up for a blind date and heartbeat was chosen as the location. The hostess was extremely nice and made me feel comfortable after I told her that I was waiting for a blind date. The bartender made a great seasonal drink with only little alcohol to start with. Once my date arrived I received the best table in the restaurant and was approached by name all evening. We tried several small dishes and I must say that we enjoyed the ceviche tasting and the Ropa Vieja the most. Wine, atmosphere etc was all great. We loved the latin food, music and atmosphere and will be back if the date was successful.

Good service, real tasty food
The staff was friendly, the drinks were creative. The menu was set up so you can taste the chefs art work. Nice latin theme with some added elements. No NYC attitude.

Unbelievable!!
I had a business lunch at Heartbeat and the food and service was sublime! We were so impressed with their great hospitality! I can't wait to go back!!

Am I made out of cellophane?
I was ignored from the moment I entered the mostly empty room....and I was a guest in the hotel....maybe they think that having that kind of attitude is kool but I will not return. When I did get service, it was slow...not recommended.
