best burgers
Found this by accident while touring Bryant Park & King Tut's Exhibit with two teenagers. The kids raved about the fried pickles, rootbeer, fried cheese sticks, and most of all the burgers. Me, too, I loved my burger. The service was top notch. We stopped in around dinner time on a Sunday. No waiting at all. We ate downstairs. I will be back again next week when I do shopping in midtown.

Best burger in NYC
After being loyal to JG Melon for over 20 years, I've now changed my vote to HB Burger...better burgers, more choices and good variety of interesting food...love the fried dill pickles and their tater tots! Good bar too.

Don't Bother
The restaurant was empty on a Sunday pre-theater, still had to wait forever for our order. Hamburger served on a small plate with a pickle, not worth the wait. Appetizer of cheese sticks was served without plates, ate them off our napkins. My milkshake was actually room temperature. Asked for a soda, again had to wait. Service staff disappears, so there was no one to ask about plates, drinks, etc. Server came over to take our dessert order, we still had not received our main course....she forgot. Was looking for a restaurant for a large group in April, will not be going here. Very disappointed, will not be returning.

Good place for Lunch
Great place for lunch. Atmosphere is a little noisy but thats okay.

Love HB Burger
Dont read the negative reviews. While service is a bit slow, its always great service and they will always try to accomidate you with whatever you need. The Southwest salad is very yummy. The turkey burger is great and you must try the veggie tempura and tater tots!!

Not worth the trouble with a large group
Went with a party of 7 for lunch. Service was unbearably slow. When burgers arrived the server did not know which burger was what. 2 of the 7 orders were incorrect. Not that it mattered all burgers were slightly warmer than room temperature at best or just tepid. All the burgers were overdone with the exception of the tuna burger. The sides were all meager portions, but they were actually hot when served. Best part of the meal was the sides, but they did not make up for the bad service and the overdone cold burgers. Don't go with a large group until they get their act together.
