    Good food, adequate service

The food was really good.. the atmosphere was also very nice. The service was rather slow and kind of unattentive, but otherwise the experience is nice if you have time to spend there.

    Great food, but that's it

The guy below must be a millionaire, because this is by far the most expensive place in the neighborhood. Yes, the food is excellent. The decor is nice. The service can be rude. On one occasion, they brought us the wrong thing, something we didn't order. The waiter started arguing with us over the problem.

    Happy and Full

I can't rave about my experience at Haveli enough. The food was excellent, the prices were reasonable and the wait staff was very personable. The decor was perfect. Not too kitschy and not to plain. All in all it was a fabulous, FABULOUS meal. I can't wait to go back!

    Still loving it 16 years later . . .

It's still my favorite for delicious and consistent Indian food. Best /freshest ingredients for the value. Samosas and Roti (breads) are soooo fresh . . . Great Mango margarita's, too. Vindaloo, Kurma, Biryani, Rasam, Murgha Tikka Musalam: the list goes on and it's all good. Service is friendly, though sometimes a bit distracted. No reason to go around the corner to save a few bucks, unless money is more important than taste/freshness.

If the food wasn't so good...

Saw the review on this web site and on Zagat's. Went there this weekend before a show (Blue Man Group). Got there at about 5:30. There were more waitstaff than customers, the service was slow and not friendly. I would expext that from a restaurant that was crowded at 7:30! Anyway, the food was really good, but the entre' portions were a bit on the small side.

    Going Strong For Years

I've been to this restaurant for years now (since the late 80's) and it has never disappointed. It is a bit more expensive than all the restaurants on 6th Street but it is well worth it. You can taste the differences in the breads! Try all the roti you could get your hands on.
