    Absolutely Lovely...

Great food, great service, great atmosphere... Being Cuban myself, I know what good Cuban food is, and though it's not as great as my mother's (but then again whose would be!) This place is great! One of the better Cuban places I've been too!

    Excellent meal

Went there for a late Saturday afternoon lunch. Beautiful room, excellent service. A waiter (not our waitress) brought me the chicken soup when I had ordered the black bean. Our waitress immidiately noticed the error and brought out the black bean but left the chicken anyway at no charge. Everything we ordered was very good. Plantinos fritos with cilantro garlic sauce was super. The food prices were very reasonable and the portions generous. We had the soup, one appatizer and one entree and it was too much food. But I blew the budget on the tasty mohitos. I think they were $8.00 each so they add up fast.

    Very pleased

Came for a dinner with a few co-workers and everyone loved it! We were greeted and seated promptly. Out waiter was quite attentive and knowledgeable. The menu had just the right variety of dishes and the food was delicious, while the portions were generous; an added bonus, $4 sangrias and $5 mojitos as part of the 4-7 happy hour. Go here...

    Not that great

I went on 10/21 to Havana Central based solely on the excellent reviews I read on this website, and I found it to be a mistake. Although the atmosphere made one feel like they were in Miami, the service was a bit slow and the food was mediocre at best.

Wow! What a find. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch and very friendly service. The price was right too. Very enjoyable--I would highly recommend it. The manager is friendly and accomodating!

They were so professional and kind for my whole family including my aging parents. Try Seafood paella which was enough for two people with salad. Many restaurants use pre-cooked rice, and mix them with seafood when you order it. This is simply wrong because you will not be able to taste ?THAT? in your rice. In Harvana Central, paella was cooked in individual portion with small cooker, and it is the right way to do it. Don?t forget to try some Cuban desserts, too. Tourists should stop by this place instead of dozens of rip-off places around Times square.

Wow - Finally Havana meet Times Square

You are greeted outside of the restaurant by the maitre'd who escorts you to your seat. There is a bar to the right and tables to the left. There is a half wall between the bar and the tables so you don't have to worry about the people who are drinking and socializing bumping into you. There were 9 people in our party, so we had a semi private room in the back. It was still out in the open but the area can actually hold about 15-20 people. There are curtains on the side which can be drawn if you want more privacy. There is also an upstairs area. Now to the food. First we had appetizers - chicken fingers, coconut shrimp, empanadas and calamari. Dinner - chopped pork chops with rice and beans, chicken with rice, steak, jumbo shrimp and an excellent seafood stew in a very light sauce. Paella is on the menu - chicken, meat or vegetable - your choice. There is enough on the menu to suit anyone's palate. I would highly recommend it. The music was a little loud and there were a lot of people at the bar (it was Friday night), but, it did not distract from the food. - Two thumbs up! The only regret - no room for dessert!
