Disappointed
My first time at the resturant and we arrived at the resturant an hour early than my reservation, so we sat at the bar and loved our bartender. She made a great Mojito and had great appitizers. We got seated at the time of our reservataion, Unfortunetly the dish I order was on a very very hot plate and no one warned me to be careful with it and when I went to place it in front of me, I burned the hell out of my three fingers really bad; to the point that I was not able to sit and eat my dinner becuase I could not hold my fork the was nothing to rave about. I had to keep my fingers on ice, becuase I was blistering. The waiter was aware of my injury brought me ice when I requested it. A hostess came by to see how were we doing and when she saw I was blistering..she said she had a spray for me.. however, brought me toothpaste to put on my finger (that was a joke) but the stick that broke the camel's back was that the manager was made aware of my issue and never came by our table to see how I was feeling or to even show concern or offer a free drink! The only highlight I had that evening was at the bar. Don't think I will be returning to Havana Central at Times Square!

what a find!
happened to find this great restaurant because it was close to our hotel, will definitely go back next trip no matter where we stay! Great food, atmosphere and service!

we had a very nice lunch here
we would recommend ropa vieja and pernil asado - both very good.

Fabulous live music! Needs dancing space and new chef.
They book amazing bands who often hail from Cuba and should be in Carnegie Hall. Yera Son in particular has an all-star line up and guests sit in that leave your in awe. If you dance you will be praying they move out some tables to make room! The atmosphere is lively and fun, the appetizers and drinks acceptable, the entres need considerable improvement. Food is low quality. So strange because the music is 5-star. Go to hear the music, have a drink-- you won't be able to sit down. So fabulous! If they opened a dance floor, I'd even pay a music charge...as long as I do not have to eat their food.

Rushed and Rejected
Atmosphere is festive and fun. Keep a close eye on your plate and keep a fork in hand or the staff will think you are finished and will attempt to remove your half eaten plate of food!!! Despite ordering 2 rounds of drinks, appetizers, main courses, and desserts, we were still actually asked to leave by the manager to free up the table!!! He stated that once we paid the bill we need to leave soon afterwards. He actually said this!! Plenty of other places to go in the area. Not likely to return. Too bad, the food was pretty good.

Not recommended
We arrived 30 minutes early for our reservaton but they seated us immediately. The restaurant was tired looking and honky tonk...and extremely noisy. The food was OK..salad a bit wilted, shrimps not fresh and swimming in sauce although I had asked for it to be very lite. The only thing they do good is rice. Not authentic cuban food..very commercial. Would not go there again.
