    Im not coming back !!

I have been before and i have good memories of this place. It used to be fun to come here because it was full of life and charming. I was sad to see that it wasnt and didnt feel the same anymore because this time was empty and not friendly. It might be that the food, service and hospitality which were detrimental. The menu had changed and was more expensive. The dishes were so small that it may well be a tasting menu. I would not be coming back again!!

    Subpar San Valentine

I had called weeks in advance to make a reservation and had left the credit card information to hold the table. When we arrived at the restaurant the host and the hostess were not welcoming and rude. They seemed like for some reason they didnt want us there. The tables were almost next to each other and they sat us right next to the music. The music was so loud that we had to scream to hear each other. The service was lousy, rude and slow. It took our apettizers 40 min and about an hour for entrees to arrive at the table. Definitely not coming back!

    great cuban food

my boyfriend is cuban so i decided to look up cuban food and i found havana alma de cuba and we dedcided to try it out, and we loved it! From a cuban boy he said the food is authentic and he really enjoyed it! i love it as well and we pretty much go there for every special ocasion we have. The mojitos are the best ever espically the coconut ones, we always get a pticher of that! Also we took his huge cuban family there for dinner all 23 of them loved it and its a big deal to impress the cuban moms, so it has to be good!

    Freezing cold place!!!

I've heard good things about this place and i decided to give it a try. Not worth coming back!! It was so cold that me and my friends had to leave with just a few apettizers and a round of drinks. It was a waste of money i would say.

Food is OK but service could be better

The food is not impressive, but ok. Relatively small portions for the price. The atmosphere is good. But the tables are so close together, and it was difficult to have conversations. There was no place to hang my coat, so I had it over my chair, and some food (sauce) was spilled over my coat when the waiters were carrying their food back and forth. The manager said that he would send us check or gift card for the expence incurred for the dry cleaning, and I have turned in my dry cleaning receipt as they requested and left my address. But I have never received the check or gift card. I don't feel like going back to the restaurant after this experience.

    Service could be better.

Havana is a nice restaurant - obviously a popular restuaruant as it was packed, food was good, service was not good, tables are very close together, live music was a nice addition. We had the papas rellenos and empanadas for appetizers - both fried, eh I've had better but they were good. I had the Pollo a la Maggie - it was very good. My son had the Churrasco con chimichurri - that was the best entree at our table. My husband that the Lechon (pig) and it was okay - a bit dry actually. My daughter had the salmon and it was okay - not very warm though. Our appetizers took almost an hour - without a word from our waiter until I stopped him to ask what was up. He said that they'd run out of something and that it'd be out soon. I just would've expected him to tell us that when he knew rather than let us just sit there waiting...We had a pitcher of sangria - that was very good but expensive ($35 or so). Overall it's a decent place - but I don't think we'd go again.

    Great for parties

I have had at least 4 parties here (10 or more people) and they were all great. The food and service were very good and the portions are huge. A great value. They work with you on the menu and cater to your needs. I will continue to plan parties there.
