    V.I. P. Service

I took my wife to Havana last night for her birthday dinner and wow did the manager and his staff give us the V. I. P. treatment once they found out we were celebrating her birthday. I mean they gave us the works, complimentary champagne, the utmost attention to making sure we were happy. Complimentary desert with some acapella vocals by the staff, this place is defintely worth trying if you have not. The atmoshpere is classy and romantic, and if you ever been to a caribbean island, then Havana will make you reminisce about when you were there. The smooth Cuban tunes in the background totally saturates the atmoshere. If you have not tried their Paella Marinera, your missing out, WoW!!! What amazed me the most, only because we eat out weekly, is the level of service,,,,the staff made us us feel important and appreciated, I can't thank the management enough for truly making my wife's birthday a memorable one. To those who have not been to Havanas yet, you're missing out.

    Tasty Easter Brunch

I went to this restaurant yesterday, and had their brunch. it was delicious and affordable. We had the cuban sandwich which was good and filled with a lot of roast pork and accompanied with plaintain chips and a mini pitcher of sangria and peach mimosas. Each pitcher is about 2-3 glasses. The service was very good. We sat in the back garden and it was cozy and nice. I would definitely go back to this place.

    A+ for service

I went on a Friday night with a constantly expanding group of friends. The staff at Havana bent over backwards to accomodate us. The atmosphere is great, cozy and dimly lit, and the food was reasonably priced and delicious. We left full, smiling and with the host helping us into our coats. Despite the behavior of most restaurants, Havana alma de Cuba proves it: chivalry is not dead in Manhattan.

    Fantastico!

Wonderful food, and service all in one! I thought it was a very cozy and intimate restaurant. Thumbs up on the paella. Definitely will go back for more...

    The best restaurant in NYC!

Called same-day, last minute on a Friday night for a table. We were told they were booked but would try and accomodate us. As soon as we arrived, we were given a table inside the very elegant and warm restaurant with a 'we've been expecting you' feel. We were treated like royalty the entire evening. I am very particular with my spanish food, and let me say, not only was it fresh, hot and delicious, but lots of it for a very decent price! You have got to have the Sangria, and when we go back we're trying the 'mojitos'. The band sang 'Happy Birthday' accompanied by a mouth-watering flan con coco with a huge sparkler on top. It was our first time there and we cannot wait to go back!

    Great food, atmosphere and service

My Mom was visiting from our of town and she picked Havana Alma de Cuba based upon great online reviews. It is nestled in an adorable, fun and "must see" NYC neighborhood (great to take my mom to since she was visiting from out of town). From the second we walked in (30 minutes late for our reservartion - whoops!), we felt welcomed. A live band played great beats and our request to sit further from the band (it was loud!) was instantly taken care of. The food was really good, especially my plantain encrusted red snapper entree. The chorizo appitizers was a little bit greasy, but the cheap and delicious drinks and wine made up for it. There were a number of birthdays and the friendly staff really went all out with lively singing and cake with giant sparkler candles. The atmosphere was so fun a few impromptu conga lines even broke out. The cordial maitre'd finished our meal of with a free after dinner drink, urging us to come back. I definitely plan to!

    Saturday Brunch

A recent visit to Havana Alma de Cuba was my second in two years. Both times we had the brunch special and both times were blown away by the quality, service and value. I have had Cuban sandwiches in many places, including Miami, and these are the BEST. No sliced deli pork here...deliciously flavored roasted pork, shredded and layered. Cuban sandwich + a pitcher of mango mimosa = a little slice of heaven. All for around $30 for 2 including tip! It's a good thing I live upstate or I'd basically live at this restaurant. Everything else looks and smells wonderful. Marrying a Cuban native exposed me to this wonderful cuisine and we know authentic when we see and taste it...this is the real deal.
