    Great place for couples!

The food was good, atmosphere was great and service was exceptional. the drinks were really good, it was very cozy and romantic on the patio. And they were very accomodating, making a special vegetarian platter. i would definitely go back again:)

Service and atmoshere make up for very average food. Staff was super accommodating. Back patio was comfy. 3 of 6 entrees served were deemed sub-par. Oxtail was quite poor. Sangria was overly sweet and needed water added. Sides were good (plantains and beans & rice).

    Hit or miss

I was wondering what the iffy comments on the food was all about. went here for a friends bday last week. we both agreed the food was either really great (i.e. the corn) or not (i.e. shrimp & codfish). Not sure how you get Garlic Shrimp that rubbery. Codfish tasted a bit fishy...the way it can get when its slightly unfresh. oh...live music is great for atmosphere, but it shouldn't be so loud that you give up talking altogether.

Made reservations for the patio the day before for 3 people. Very accomodating. The place is very small inside but very charming out on the back patio. You feel like you are on vacation somewhere. Our waiter was very good, and the food was great. Never really had cuban before but everything was delicious. Very large portions though. Have defitnitly reccomended this place to friends.

    Extraodinary Service

My husband and I came in with another couple at 7:30 with no reservation AND with possibility of 2 additional people. The manager was unbelievably gracious and set us up in the garden. Our friends eventually joined us and the staff accomodated us all the way. The extensive menu offered great choices for everyone and (hard core meat + fish eaters alike). And the waiter clearly enjoyed his job. I have to say it was a great experience. The owners really know what it takes to run a restaurant.

    Excellent cuban food..

Let me start by saying that it was a Rainy Sunday and we called for reservations they told us we didn't need one since it was really slow. Sure enough though when we got there they asked if we did and of course not, but they did everything to accomodate us. (honestly the restuarnat was full to capacity) Thank God they did. Not only are we Cuban, but we also live in Miami so we know good cuban food. Let me tell you this place is excellent. My husband had the oxtail, my daughter the palomilla and I had the Vaca Frita and it was excellent. The Sopa de Chicharro was excellent also. Now let's talk about the service it was as great as the food. Our waiter was supurb. In fact, my husband and I will be back in November and are already making plans to have dinner or maybe brunch. We are hooked.

    Not about the food

Great atmoshere and service. If you like the food, even better. Went with group of 8 and half of us thought food was average.
