Not rude, yet uncaring service, had to send sushi back since it looked old and smelled poorly. Tried it twice, do not understand how they expect to stay in business with poor quality food and service. Do not even consider this place.

I think the quality of the food at Hatsuhana 46 is great. The atmosphere isn't so great, as the interior could be updated and you feel the MetrNorth running right under your feet. But the staff are friendly and cordial and the food quality can't be beat. I think prices are reasonable, considering it's fresh fish in midtown.

i cant understand the good reviews here. Just got back and i must say the place is a disaster or as my wife says dogshi.... Dont bother...

My order: Miso Soup Shrimp Shumai Spicy Tuna Roll Salmon Avocado Roll The delivery arrived timely, but the food itself was kind of "eh." I could tell it was fresh, so that's a plus & why I gave it a 4. Although my Miso Soup was smaller than any takeout order I've ever had. Apparently the "Spicy" Tuna roll isn't so spicy....there was barely a spattering of spicy mayo, that I might as well have ordered a plain tuna roll. There's an option on SeamlessWeb.com to add "spicy mayo" for extra $... I wouldn't doubt that this is why I didn't get any. (Didn't think I had to add it if I ordered a SpicyTuna Roll in the first place.) Also, the prices are very expensive for the amount of food I got... too bad in this location, there aren't tons of options.

A couple of us went here for lunch and simply received poor/mediocre service. For the price, you'd expect an attentive waitstaff and prompt service. However, our waiter was not attentive at all. In addition, I believe that we waited at least 45 mins for our food. It was incredibly tasty and fresh, but the service left an incredibly unsatified taste in my mouth. With better service this restaurant would rock.

I ordered a "Sushi Hatsuhana" set for $34 and it came with 10 sushis and 1 roll of my choice, soup, salad and dessert. For the amount and quality, I would probably end up spending over $50 anywhere else. Along with decent service and atmosphere, this is the place that I would like to recommend to anyone who would like some decent sushi and isn't ready to spend big money for Nobu and Masa.

I took my mother here when she visited me in the city, and she was a little skeptical however she was totally blown away by the quality of the fish - and the sushi dinner was such a great value. I highly recommend the yellowtail. Also- the mango we got for dessert was so fresh and juicy, which was an added bonus. Highly highly recommended! will be going back very soon
