    What a disappointment

I moved to the area a month or so ago and have been trying the local restaurants. My friend and I ordered the "Lobster and Crabmeat" steamed wontons and a spicy tuna roll as appetizers. The wontons were glue-like and tasted like they'd been sitting in a refrigerator for a few days and were microwaved before serving. The mystery meat in them tasted kind of like shrimp--lobster and crab meat? I don't think so. The consistency of the tuna in the roll was like something that came out of a can, although the spices weren't bad. For an entree I had the macadamia crusted mahi mahi. The fish was way overcooked and the sweetness of the banana/coconut garnish completely overpowered the fish. My friend had the beef stir fry which she said was "ok." The waiter never once checked on us and there was no heat in the restaurant. When there were only four other people in the place at 8:00 I thought that was a bad sign. I should have trusted my instincts and passed.

    Great New Gem

We really needed a sushi joint in inwood and this place delivers. Their prices are high but the food is great. The place looks like a night club, too much decor takes ups room where more people can sit. But they have delivery.

    Fresh sushi in Inwood

I ordered takeout, so that's the only reason I couldn't give it 5 stars across the board, but everything else was great. The sushi was fresh and innovative, and they did not skimp on the rolls. Prices are reasonable for really good sushi, and the delivery was fast. I'm new to the area, but this is definitely close by and my go-to for Sushi going forward.

    downtown meets uptown

thank god someone paid attention to every detail when opening a restaurant in this neighborhood. the decor is amazing, and the food did not disappoint. sushi was fresh, appetizer fantastic and wine was delicious. i'm just hoping the waiter had an off night because he almost ruined the experience. i'll go back regardless.
