Succulently inventive
We went to this location on a week night so it would be slightly less crowded. The atmosphere is nice, in terms of dim lights, creative interior and very accomodating bar. However, I think some might find the place slightly loud if they were looking for a romantic rendenzvous. I would recommend going with friends, who are willing to share. Our table had "Sushi for 2" which is about $54 and "Vegetarian Sushi" which is about $16. We just had some soda but the damage wasn't bad at all. The sushi for 2 has a huge variety of pieces, which is great for a table of four and then you can order something you like, individually. I loved the "veg. sushi" because it was very innovative. The tofu and kaware had completely opposite flavors, and they finished it just perfectly with Oinari (which is a seasoned sushi rice wrapped in tofu skin roll ). I highly recommend going there on any day, but making a reservation is probably a good idea if you dont like to wait.

Every Sunday
It isn't a Sunday in the city without Haru. This place has a contemporary decor and a friendly staff. The food here is always fresh and their large bar provides a vast selection of cocktails. The only uncomfortable thing about this restaurant is that on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights the music is on too loudly to have a nice relaxing conversation, but that never interfered with my going there. I have introduced many of my friends to this wonderful place and now, they too continue to visit it on regular bases. Enjoy!

Perfection
I am fairly new to eating sushi. I tried it before and hated it. Then i tried it again at Haru and it tasted amazing!!! Their chicken is great too. The taste was great and very fresh and the presentation was absolutely fantastic. I actually come all the way from Brooklyn regularly just to get there . I have brought friends there and they love it as well.

You must go to Haru! I Love It!
I'd never been to any of the Harus before and went with a friend on his suggestion. I'm SO glad I did! Here are a few words to describe my experience. Fresh. Savory. Effortless. Relaxing. Fun. Everything I tasted was outstanding and visually beautiful. The Calamari salad was especially good. The service was GREAT! I hate to be hovered over BUT don't like my water to get empty. They had just the right amount of presence and service. I LOVE HARU and will be back again and again.

Amazing Food
This is one of my favorite Restaurants in NYC. I’ve been to a few of the Haru’s in Manhattan and I have never been disappointed with the food. The Steamed Shrimp Shumai is to die for! I have brought many people there (at least 8-10 people) over the years and everyone has said they agree with me that it is amazing. I highly recommend it. The only slightly annoying part is they sometimes charge you $1-$2 if you ask for some of their yummy yellow sauce on the side (I think it's some sort of tempura sauce - just ask for the yellow one). Try this sauce with your sushi - it's soooo good! You will not be disappointed.

Depentably Great
Haru has fresh fish, an unbeatable ambiance, prime location and friendly service. Its a go-to for dates as well as entertaining out of town guests. We always have a delicious meal and leave feeling satisfied.

Sad
I love the haru uptown but this one is inferior, food wise. a friend and I went. The service was great and the drinks were fun, but the sushi tasted very fishy.
