Delivered!
Love this sushi! When asked if they would deliver to 93rd and 2nd, they said "No problem". Funny as a Sushi Restaurant, with the same name, directly across the street said it would be 10 dollars to deliver lost a 175.00 order. PS. I would have tipped at least 10 dollars anyway..

Not worth it...
I was told the place was great. I went and was disappointed. The music is way too loud, the sushi is fresh but not so tasty. I ordered roll with spicy tuna, still looking for the spicy taste..... Won't go back.

Wish I hadn't...
...but I did. I went to Haru Sake Bar on a Sunday evening with three friends. The wait was horrendous, so we decided to sit at the bar. It was loud and uncomfortable and although I paid over 60 dollars for a meal that consisted of two appetizers, I left unsatisfied and frenzied. I like the regular restaurant - Haru - across the street a lot better. Even for a date.

Agree with the below - service stinks
More than once here I have had spotty service. They get busy and the servers get clueless. But the menu is good and the atmosphere tops. Great date spot. It is pricey, especially the sake. The cheapest bamboo is $18 and it is barely 6 shots. You are better off getting the flight, which is 4 different sakes for $12 (same price as the cheapest bamboo essentially).

Food and Atmosphere Make up for Service
The food and atmosphere here are phenomenal. The sushi is always freshly prepared, and the appetizers (particularly the king crab dumplings and tempura rock shrimp) are amazing. The service is sometimes slow, sometimes indifferent. The ambiance here is also fantastic - great to eat with friends or a date. I would recommend this restaurant if you don't care too much about service.

unexpectedly good!
Came by with a few friends the other night out of the blue....didn't know anything about it, but was pleasantly surprised by the fun, "downtown" atmosphere inside and the food was really good. Service was a bit slow and prices could be better, but overall I was pleasantly surprised, better experience than most UES restaurants.

Aw, yeah
Used to live by the Haru on the UWS but moved to the UES over the weekend and was so sad to desert my favorite neighborhood restaurant. Maybe I was living under a rock, but I didn't know that there are actually two of them on this side of the park. Literally stopped in the middle of the street when I saw them (they're across the street from each other, one's a sake bar...nice!). Yeah, I'm fine with trying the fancy, 'cool' places that get all the press these days but this place is just as cool because even with great food and reputation they're not pretentious in the least, and the prices are fair, which is not the norm in this city. Just thought I'd give them a shout out.
