Don't get delivery from them
I ordered one noodle soup & a bottle of water & it ended up being extremely expensive because the bottle of water cost $4.00. They don't have their soda prices & water prices online. Be warned, they only sell fiji bottled water! Also, it took over an hour for them to deliver to me. I would suggest going to a cheaper sushi place. Overpriced & Obnoxious.

not very good
The food here used to be good but isn't anymore. Tasteless and soggy sushi.

favorite sushi spot on the upper west side
I love the sushi at Haru. It's always fresh, delicately prepared and oh so tasty.

I'm blown away
I went here with my dad, and we ordered first a side of edamame. Cooked perfectly. We got a salad. The peanut dressing was exceptional. Im a huge sushi buff and have eaten all over the place, but this is the best sushi i have ever had. ever.

good food
I went to Haru with my wife over the weekend. Althought there was a wait ( at 7PM) the hostess came out side many times to check on us & offer us tea or water. The Rock Shrimp, Clamari & King Crab Dumplings are good. I had the Sushi/ Sashimi, fresh as can be. I would definately recommend.

Wear something dark
Don't have enough earthy brown tones in your wardrobe? Haru on the UWS is the place for you! The food is absolutely first rate and I didn't find it to be much more expensive than any other sushi place in the area. I especially enjoyed the Rock Shrimp Tempura. That's the good news. The highlight of the meal, however, came at the end. The bus boy kindly dumped the entire pot of soy sauce down the front of me...and we are talking all over. I like to think of myself as a mellow guy and this snaffu, in and of itself, isn't enough to get me upset. Accidents happen. What did send me over the edge, is how the incident was handled by management. The waiter was kind enough to offer a free round of drinks and to clean my clothes. I declined. What I wanted was for the manager to come over and say something, ANYTHING! She didn't! Our waiter told us he was going to ask her what else he could do. He walked over to her, told her the story, she gave me a look of remarkable disdain, waived her hand, and sent him back over with the full bill for the meal. I won't be returning. I'll buy brown clothes instead.
