Good Fresh Food and Great Service

This place was great. Very quiet atmosphere and good decor. The service was excellent. The manager, Chris, was extremely accommodating to a large party from the initial reservation. The wait staff were very attentive from the beginning with hot towels, water and after with cutting/servicing our cake. The food especially fish was extremely fresh. The value was decent for a Japanese restaurant in downtown Financial District.

the worst sushi I ever had

After reading all of the good reviews I was expecting much more. . I would never order from Haru again. It was disgusting and what pissed me off the most was spending $50 on food that sucks. I should've stuck with the cereal I had in my cabinet. What a waste! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone that knows good sushi.

Great Place for Dinner if Your Downtown

Living In Gramercy, I generally go the Haru at 19th and Park but last night I was still downtown in the later evening (9pm). I think Haru is a great chain and has consistent quality. The fish quality is excellent, a good sake list, etc. I recommend it.

    Nice and Cozy

I have just started coming here with my friends for Happy Hour. I think that of all the Haru chains this one is the best. It has a nice and cozy atmosphere whether you're there with friends for happy hour ,or are out for dinner with that special someone. The staff is phenomenal. They are friendly, attentive and fast. The food is delicious and well worth the money. During happy hour they have extremely reasonable prices. My only problem is that their happy hour ends at 6. Aside from that, i think everyone should give Haru a try.

    I'm in love...

I went for lunch last week and am going back today. This place is wonderful and I LOVED the food. For lunch, it's a bit more expensive than what I normally pay, but I think it's really well worth it. The amount of food you get it certianly more than I expected. Highly recommend it, but make reservations if you can or go early, by 12:30 it's packed.

    Great for Delivery

I ordered sushi (rolls) for delivery. When I called to place an order the phone was answered quickly, the woman was very friendly, easy to understand, and efficient. I have ordered sushi from a quite a few places in the area that deliver and this was by far the best. Very fresh, good size pieces, and the delivery guy came super fast and was also very friendly. Yes, you will pay a bit more then some other places, but you are definately getting higher quality and that is #1 to me when eating raw fish!
