great nachos and drinks
It's not supposed to be a gourmet restaurant. My coworkers and I always went to Harry's to hang out and drink and have late night snacks after work. This place has really great nachos with grilled chicken and delicious five dollar margaritas (or dacquiris can't remember) during happy hour, before 11pm, which is a pretty good deal for the area! I recommend going in the evening.

Not recommended
I love Mexican food, but still looking for a consistantly good place on the UWS. Went to Harry's for the 1st time, ordered shredded grilled chicken in a whole wheat tortilla. What I was served was something you would expect to get at at a fast food chain...boiled, brown rubber (definitely not grilled chicken) served in a white flour tortilla (not whole wheat). How difficult is it to get grilled chicken right? My wife got a plain cheese quesadilla, which she liked, but I would never recommend this place to anyone...if you are daring and choose to go, do not get any dishes with meat or chicken.

Sorry Harry, but it's true ...
Aside from Senior Swanky's this is probably the worst mexican food I've ever had. Nothing against the staff, they were very nice but while I'm always prepared to be disappointed by mexican food in NYC, this restaurant brough it down to another level.

Come on...
This place gets panned...why? I dunno. I've eaten at the best of the best...this place is what it is. You will not go wrong with the quality - look, it's mediocre to good - if you want gourmet go to Rosa. I'd give it a 5/10, always consitently even, like Ollie's.

Outstanding Service, Disappointing Food
Server was great. She was very helpful, refilled drinks regularly, and went against the stereotypical curt NYC waiter. But the food was not good at all. If you tag yourself 'Cali Burrito Lover', then I would hope you would know a bad burrito when you see one. Only consolation...the great view (on the mezzanine) allowed us to spot Bruce Willis as he casually strolled down on Columbus Ave.

Order an Enchilada and get a Burrito
After being tempted to go into the place and having had heard of the name, we thought of going in and trying it out, but what a disappointment when you order one thing and get another and are told that that's what we ordered. I've been to plenty of "Mexican" style food eateries and know the difference between an Enchilada and a Burrito. Their prices are on the "pricey" side for their proportions and for their drinks. The service was straight forward, order, bring, take, check; no personality what-so-ever. I guess it's like my friend said, it's "Harry's Burritos" not "Juan's Burritos" get the picture. Don't recomend it.
