The chicken is delicious, but after several years of ordering from here, I have finally succumbed to giving up on a place that says the food will be there in 20 minutes and they show up 45 minutes later and on occasion even send the wrong food. Once, after waiting almost an hour I called and they told me the delivery person couldn't find my building. The good chicken is just not worth the aggravation and I will not be ordering from Harriet's again.

I've been on the UWS for years..... and this is exactly the kind of eatery that I've always had to travel for. Excellent home cooking, done right, without being overpriced or boring and redundant, and to rebuff the previous comment, they've always delivered quick, and never had a wrong order.

Had high hopes after reading some glowing reviews but this is the second time we have ordered from Harriet's and it is the second time the food has been late (as in, over an hour) and the order was then cold and incorrect. When you order in NYC, you do it b/c you think you will have a hot meal in 20 minutes or less...an hour and a half, cold, and oh yes, completely wrong? UM not. And too bad...cause the burgers are actually quite good. Here's to a restaurant gearing up on not only their workforce, but also a common courtesy (i.e.- please hear me and get my order right). NO. NO. NO. Save yourself the wait and anger. Order elsewhere.

I have been ordering from here for years and the food has been consistently fresh and great tasting and lgenerous portions. My only complaint would be that the delivery is consistent, too, but bad. They always say it will be 20 minutes and the wait is usually 45 minutes or more. If you can deal with the wait, it is worth it.

One of my favorite places to order from. I usually order the chicken meal at least once a week. Delivery is always fast and accurate. The fried chicken is crispy and delicious. The french fries used to be much better, I have to admit, so I stopped ordering them and now opt for mashed instead. The chocolate mud pie is so delicious, and so rich and tasty!!

I have been ordering from harriet's for years; the food, especialy the chicken meals, is always good. The service, though, is erratic. Sometimes it takes 20 to 25 minutes, as they promise, but there have been occasions when I waited 45 minutes or an hour. It's a shame they can't manage a business as well as they cook!

Delivery came quickly and warm. The fried chicken is a little sweet and bland. The food here is good, but nothing special.
