Harlem Tavern

I thought Harlem Tavern's food menu was to be avoided, but then I tried the wings and burgers -- talk about mouth watering! I can't wait to go back. Try the Turkey Burger with the Turkey Bacon and Housemade Remoulade Sauce -- it was delicious with a side of sweet potato fries, and without the bun its 100% gluten free. Can't wait to go back.

can be a bit crowded inside but overall great atmosphere and casual dining enviorment. fantastic for sporting events and drinks

This is a tavern (not a lunch delivery spot), so do not expect the best salads or wine. Expect great beer and bar food, like fries and chicken wings (which are excellent by the way). Indoors it's a little too small for me so I only go when it's warm and sit outside on the patio. I've been here 3 times and have never had a problem. One of my favorite Harlem spots.

While everyone's experience inside this place may be great, thier customer service sucks! They dont know how to talk to people! My co-workers and i work across the street from The Harlem Tavern and we attempted to place a huge order for lunch on a Saturday Afternoon. They had nothing that was on the menu. I got put on hold 4 times while trying to place the order and ended up being transferred to the manager because the order was "too big." Food from the brunch menu is supposed to come with a soda....i ordered the soda and was told by the manager "i dont have soda, but there's a deli across the street" despite his attitude I tried to continue to place the order (only for the sake of my co-workers b/c if it was just for me i would have hung up a long time ago!) I asked what was the total of the order and had to wait 5min for him to find a calculator.....and even still without giving me a total he insisted on me giving him a credit card number. i asked again for the total and he refused to give it to me. I must say unlike my "usual" self i was extremely calm with this man....but Harlem Tavern BLEW a order for over 20 ppl and will lose our buisness through word of mouth.

I went the the tavern for the first time on super bowl Sunday. The place was packed and surprisingly had a velvet rope outside with a one person waiting line. So pretentious!! Got in quickly and stood inside at the bar. Got shoved around by some patrons and was told by the waitress, when the shovers complained about my presence, that this was a common area to be shared by all. I was not so politely asked to leave the area! When I spoke to the owner about the situation I was brushed aside. I have lived in Harlem a long time and this has never happened to me. There is always a first but it's the last time I will set foot in the tavern on 116th street.

12 dollars for a glass of house merlot on 116 St...Really? We had to stand inside by the bar. The place was packed and so noisy. But the outdoor area looked nice though.

Very nice place, especially the large outdoor area. Had salmon for lunch with a glass of wine. It was very good. Nice service. Liked it very much. Will definitely go again.
