This was the place in Carnegie Hill where neighbors and families would come to eat and meet. Used to have a warm and friendly atmosphere; Tony would run to meet you at the door; Jose would remember your drinks; laughter and joy! Not anymore. Pushing hard to become the place for Yuppies, and pushing the prices out the roof. Too much evidence of upscale over ambition at any cost!

I used to come here a lot and I loved the food & the staff...Now it has turned into an overpriced rip off. The managers are rude & make neighborhood people( who for years paid their bills) feel uncomfortable & unwanted!! What happened to the great characters that once worked there..? Instead of the friendly Irish bartender they now have a preppy robot! Fortunately the chef is still there & if I could afford it I would order the food TO GO !!!

Have been wanting to try this place for long because of long varied menu with cheap prices; we waited too long. Ordered lamb chops for $31.95 and coke; companion ordered burger ($10.95) and coke. Cokes were $3 each. There 4 lamb chops done medioum rare and quite meaty. Could have been bit more charred. Came with sweet vidalia onions and potatoes slathered in sour cream. Burger was pretty good, altho charbroil flavor was not as strong as in some places. Fries were good. At half the price this place is worth it--so eat there at lunch if you can. Service & decor excellent.

It has been a while since I have been to the restaurant and what a pleasant surprise it was going back last week. Atmosphere, service, wine and food were amazing. I love what they have done to the place. I would recommend this place to everyone. If it’s to have a glass of wine at the bar or to grab a quick lunch or have a nice diner with friends, this is your place. Thanks!

It had been a while since I had eaten here but I was pleasantly suprised at the many changes that had been made to the restaurant. The menu is much improved, the decor has been upgraded and service was wonderful. The chicken dish I ordered was fantastic and the wine complimented it well. I will absolutely become a regular customer after this experience.

Waited an hour for a veggie burger. When I asked the waitress why everyone who was seated after I was already had food, she replied that they had only ordered salads...need I say more? When the burger arrived it was charcoal black burned to a crisp. My friend who ordered a soda was offered refills twice and when the bill came it turned out that each glass of coke was $2.50!! I used to eat here regularly, but things have dramatically changed. Never again.

What have you done? This WAS a value good eatery with a nice cozy atmosphere, My God they more than doubled there prices cut done on portions and don't give you the prices on the chalkboard of Specials and believe you me, you better ask the price unless you want sticker SHOCK. Service is so so. The last few times I've been in to eat they are out of entrees and some of the cakes. Also they must have some kind of air conditioning problem, on 2 occasions it was just plain uncomfortable. Sorry I have to look for a new place to spend my hard earned dollars. Thanks for the good years!
