At Hanco's there are always 10 people behind the counter, but nobody seems to be working. You have to be really pushy just to get someone to take your order. otherwise they ignore you. i ordered one sandwich at 3:00 in the afternoon when it was dead quiet . 45 minutes later i'm still waiting. The only other customer had waited an hour. If you ask if it's ready, they just say "10 minutes". Finally after an hour the other customer and i asked for our money back and left, hungry as hell and having wasted an hour of our day! We asked why they couldnt make the sandwiches but they couldnt explain, they just shrugged.

Among the few banh-mi joints I've had the pleasure of frequenting, this one rates pretty great. If you live in the neighborhood and haven't gone here, you've missed out and need to make up for some lost time. The sandwiches are always fresh, the salads are a meal in and of themselves, and the bubble teas are always fun. Great for a cheap meal, but it's true...sometimes it takes awhile.

The sandwiches, bubble teas and lemonade are great. But call ahead if you're getting takeout, as it takes them an unreal amount of time to actually assemble the sandwich. Also, the grilled chicken can be a little gristly. But otherwise, it's an excellent cheap lunch/cheaper dinner.

The sandwiches are good, but the bubble teas are fantastic - especially in the summer. Great bargain too.

You can't beat the prices and freshness of the sandwiches at Hanco's, also the bubble teas are very good! The sandwiches take a little while to prepare but well worth the wait for freshness.
