I just came from my eat-alone lunch special which costs me 8.65 plus my on budget tip of $1.25 tip. I can recommend this place in a flash. The food is good and the place is clean. For a budget freak like me, getting a meal for $10 is steep (my bus fare to S.I. costs $41/week). Once in a blue moon, I treat myself to authentic Korean food. Hanbat is a good place. This is highly recommended by a coworker with numerous korean friends. Check it out.

For Manhattan, Han Bat definitely has the upper hand in their pricing for their food. You don't pay as much as some of the other places on 32nd but you still get some great dishes. Definitely go with the Gob Dol Bibimbap but nearly everything on the menu is nice. Go with the recommendation of a Korean college student who misses his mama's motherland cooking.

If you are craving good home style korean food, this is your best bet. Much better than any other restaurants in K-Town. This place gets crazy busy, so it's hard to expect good service, or good atmostphere, but, i can guarantee that the food will be more than satisfying.

I was introduced to Korean food out in Queens and my first foray into Manhattan's Korean offerings was rewarded with entrees half the size, twice the price, and of a lower quality. It wasn't that the food was bad, it just seemed like they were giving you just enough to keep you from thinking so. Other dining experiences at Korean restaurants in the boroughs have been so overwhelming in quality and quantity that this mediocre experience seemed like a let down, especially by something that was so highly rated on this site and others as well as by the Zagat guide.

Authentic, good korean food. Portions are big and the food is very good, great sul lung tang. It's a bit off "k-town" for those of you who prefer a quieter scene with great food, fast service, and a nice atmosphere.

I tried Han Bat for the first time a few weeks ago. The prices were reasonable, the food very good, and the staff extremely friendly. The tables are positioned very close together, making it somewhat of a crowded atmosphere, but the restaurant was clean and enjoyable to eat in. I highly recommend this restaurant! :)
