A Soho Gem
Working in Soho means it isn't that cheap getting lunch every day, and while this place isn't much cheaper than what surrounds it, it is leaps and bounds more delicious. and better value And you can feel rest assured that you are eating healthy too!

It's a Heat Wave
The dosas are excellent, and my only complaint about the food is that the chai and coffee are presweetened. But...the policy of 'Saving the Environment" by not turning on the AC in the middle of August in Manhattan (UWS) is totally unacceptable. Does the owner live without AC as well? If the staff have no problem working in 90+ temperatures, fine, but please do not persecute your paying customers.

Home of the $9 rip-off sandwich
I usually never write scathing reviews but I felt so ripped-off that I felt I needed to warn people. It's one thing to charge a lot of money for pseudo ethnic food that might end up tasting pretty good and being sort of an interesting option for lunch. It's another thing entirely to charge $9.50 for a mozzarella, arugula and roasted pepper sandwich that is lackluster. I thought I would splurge because it was hot and I wanted something that seemed refreshing. I envisioned some really nice crusty, bakery sourdough bread piled with lovely greens, peppers and yummy mozarella. But when I saw that the sandwich had two measly pieces of cheese, soggy peppers and came on sliced, packaged bread, I was fuming. I don't like to make a scene so I didn't go ballistic but I am really ticked off and do, in fact, feel like the proverbial chump. So if you want an uninspiring sandwich on industrial bread for an outrageous price, be my guest. But I thought I would at least warn you!

I love this place!
No it's not "traditional" indian food...but it's absolutely amazing! I love love love the food. It is so fresh and healthy. The soups are great as well as all the dosas and sandwiches. Try it!

Been going there for 2 months straight
Exactly. I was going there religiously Monday to Friday , once a day, sometimes twice. Getting the #5 everytime, for 2 months. I didn't get sick of it, but I believe after 40 days of eating the same thing, you want to change a bit. But I still go there about twice a week for my #5. Delicious.

Masala Holla
I've been to india too, a few times... and I think these dosas are AWESOME!!!!!!!! Not exactly like Ganeshpuri, but yummy just the same. Great staff and posative vibe. I highly suggest the Masala Delux Dosa.

No Thanks
I am an indian and the dosa was very far from being even ok. The classic dosa was poor, the potato filling was soo spicy and no taste.I can make better dosas and filling myself..
