I am a big fan of Hamachi. I've eaten in a few times, and its always been a very easy going pleasurable experience. More often then not, I order in. The Sushi is great. Its consistanly delicious! The Delivery is also very quick. Its my Local Pick!

I'm a very picky person, but whoever posted the bad reviews for this restaurant must have gone there when they were having a bad day or something. The sushi is really fresh, I've eaten at some of the best sushi restaurants in the city and this place definitely holds some competition, not to mention how reasonable the prices are. The staff is very warm and friendly, you can be the last 2 people in the place after their closing time and they never make you feel like you have to rush through your meal and get out. I've gotten free dessert numerous times...and it is delish! One of my favorite dishes here is the Manhattan Beef. It's definitely a must try!

I love this place! Excellent service, great food, no wait. It is definitely my favorite sushi in the city for this price.

I ordered for the first time. Food was great. Time was descent. The only complain I have is the roll that I ordered. The menu claimed it had 8 pieces. When it arrived, I saw 6. When I called, I was assured that the new chef cuts the pieces bigger. It is the same size as a normal roll. If it says 8, it means they cut it smaller. (Which they didnt anyway). Overall I would give my recomendation to anyone.

This is the place to come where everyone knows your name. Or at least where you prefer to sit. The staff is warm and inviting and the food is out of this world. There is no fresher fish in the city than at hamachi. Try their specialty rolls and gyoza.

I have come here every week for lunch and this is a fantatic restaurant. There is a huge variety on the menu, including lunch specials that are a great value for a significant amount of food. The staff is so friendly and the service is excellent. Its very cozy inside and a perfect place to warm up with the complementary green tea that comes with your meal. Great food, great people.

The reviews of this place are really mixed but I think it's a problem of expectations. It's not Tao or even Mizu (across the street) when it comes to decor but the service is friendly and sushi is hard to beat for the price. I've only had lunch and bounced between boxes and sushi... either way, portions were large and everything was very fresh (the same could hardly be said for Mizu). It's not a date spot or a place to impress clients.. but if you want great food at reasonable price this place is hard to beat.
