I loved their oatmeal (porridge) they ask you if you want toppings, i had strawberries and honey one day then another day yoghurt and granola topping it was excellent, who would have thought porridge could be so interesting . I also had their beef and barley soup with bread that was great, me and my daughter loved hale and hearty wish it was in the uk.

I tried it today for the first time. I ordered medium beef barley (sans the attitude of the girl serving it to me) - 7th Ave by 32nd street. I found several large chunks of fatty meat in the soup. I couldn't finish it. Never again! Sorry but no amount of decor and hype can make up for the fact that the soups are overrated and over-priced.

Been coming to H&H often. Tried the Tomato cheddar soup for the 1st time. Excellent soup but at over $7/bowl, I felt that it is bit on the pricey side. If the price was more reasonable I would order it more often. o/w I'll just get it as my "free" 11th soup.

Now if my first time in other areas of my life (hint hint) were this heavenly...well who's to say. I tried the Curry shrimp and roasted corn for the first time. Oh my goodness, I was really sad to see the bottom of that container. It was filling too. It's going to be hard not to go in there and get that again. I'm gonna try the green and yellow split pea next..when my pockets are a little fat and I can splurge a bit. It was really delicious! Just think I was really going in there with the idea to get some "okay" soup ( (I was really after the oyster crackers). I didn't even finish the crackers!
