delicious soup & lots to choose from
I was surprised by all the poor reviews as I think their soups are delicious and I love the 7 grain bread that comes with them. The sandwiches are good too - but I pick everything up on my way home so I guess the problem isn't the food but the delivery which I have never experienced.

Wasted Time!
I ordered online, was emailed a ticket saying my food would be delivered between a certain time, that time has come and gone, it is now almost two hours into waiting and still nothing, on hold right now with a representative for god knows how long. This is just unacceptable! I just found out my order was still at the restaurant! An absolute waste of my time. They should pay me for the time I lost waiting.

Fast delivery
Food arrived within 30 minutes and was exactly as ordered, and hot. Soups are delicious, though the sizes could be a little larger for the prices. I ordered at lunch time during the week, and didn't have a problem.

Poor delivery, only choice on UES
All of Hale & Hearty's soups are good - that is never an issue. The issue here is the shockingly poor delivery service. Don't expect to ever get your order in less than an hour and a half. Also, most of the time, you will place your order and be contacted subsequently, informing you that something your ordered is not available. The key is keeping your patience with the subpar staff at this location. One nice woman who works there repeatedly had to call me to regretfully inform me that what I had ordered was not available. Because this happens almost every time, but I keep my cool and patiently try to find something else suitable, I always get stuff comped or get upsized for free. Nothing about this place is ideal, but if you want a good soup on the Upper East Side and don't want to make it yourself, this is really the only option.

delivery stinks
Had them deliver to me on east end avenue for a week only to have them call and tell me that their company policy does not allow that. they'll go as far as york but the one block to east end is too much. very strange. i think someone got lazy. their sandwhichs arent even that good anyway, the breads always soggy.

didn't even get to order the food
I called at 8:26pm. they said they would not deliver because it was past their cut off time of 8:30pm. After a few moments they agreed only to state that they do not deliver past York Avenue. I live on 78th between York and FDR, the store is literally five Avenues away on 78th Street. Very poor customer service.
