I eat lunch at Hale and Hearty almost every day. I wouldn't sit there and eat, but I get it and take it up to my desk. The soups are great- my favorites are the mac and cheese with beef, tomato cheddar, and Tuscan white bean. I'm not a fan of their sandwiches, unfortunately- they used to be good, but the sandwich quality has really gone downhill recently (they switched the bread, there are always those little hard things in the chicken, and some of the sandwiches consistently taste like they have sand in them for some reason.) The only sandwich I ever order anymore is the tuna salad- other than that, I stick to the soup. Service isn't great but I don't really expect it to be at what is basically an upscale carryout chain. Try it for the soup alone.
