the food is great! once you see it, it looks like an ordinary food cart with okay food but its different than the classic other fast food places. although the line gets very long, once you actually order you get your food in seconds! highly recommend.

The food these guys serve is bland in my opinion and is masked over by thick creamy mayo based sauce which is extremely fatty. There used to be a competition where the Halal Guys of NY (who served a spiced chicken over rice.. my fav) was a similarly named cart across the street on the west side but seems like a lawsuit chased them out of business. What is left is the same business with the same cart on both the east and west corners both serving bland food.. I used to eat Halal 2-3 times a week at the old cart but now I dont eat at all.. the carts at the corner of 53rd and 6th are BLAND.

This was my 1st time in New York and we came across Halal Guys and so glad we did. We ate there several times while in New York wish there was a place like that in Houston

I kept putting my kids off on eating lunch until I found a 'special' street vendor. The long line sold me, and I am definitely glad I found this place. It will definitely be a must visit every future NYC visit. Two thumbs up!

Unlike anything I have ever had! Long lines but WELL worth the wait. The smell that fills the air is intoxicating. Generous serving size, very reasonably priced!

Was a good value gyro stall for sometime. However recently they increased the price (whereas the other surrounding stalls remain the same), and the quality wasn't that great after all. Meat dry. Definitely not worth the six bucks when compared to nearby stalls.
