At $7/specialty roll, it's hard to find great sushi for less. Each specialty roll I tried was beautiful with inventive combinations. The toro scallions roll is a steal at $7 (toro! $7!), and the orange chicken was delicious- it was so light on the breading you'd swear you weren't eating Chinese food in Brooklyn. Also had the curry laksa soup, king crab squid salad, and roti canai and was not disappointed by anything. Actually, the roti was banging. Cocktails are on the pricier side but the food is effing great.

not as good as its decor

This seems like a restaurant based on marketing tactics rather than a place that really cares about serving quality food. Don't get me wrong the food is not bad, but for the price and environment one would expect a bit more finess. The food is prepared with very little creativity and is not very tasty. Upon reading the menu ones hopes are lifted a little too high. Check out the place, its esthetic is worth the trip, but you probably wont go back too often. That is unless you fall into their "target market" which is a twenty something who just wants a cool place to drink while pretending to nourish him/herself.

    Great Addition!

Hachi has really great Asian food at reasonable prices. The sushi especially the specialty rolls are delicious. The decor and music really make the dining experience exceptional. Just remember-cash only.

    Just so so

I was intrigued by the "asian bistro" which is just a mix of thai and japanese. The grilled shrimp I ordered was pretty good, if not confusingly stretched out on a skewer. However, the Pad Kee Mao was kind of a mess. It was greasy and almost too spicy to eat. It also came with a strange white rice and black bean side (with a noodle dish?). Overall, just so so though the menu has a lot of interesting options. Hopefully they'll fare better than the noodles.

    Beautiful place, amazing food!

Very excited about this new place! The interior is completely gorgeous and sophisticated. The space is bigger than expected but still retains an intimate feel. The food is delicious! Attention is paid to all the details of taste and presentation, I dare to say artfully done. The prices are very affordable and the portion sizes are just right, not mounds of food. The staff is attentive and professional, and the owner came around to make sure everyone was enjoying the food. This side of the Burg now has it all!
