    Elegant and Tasty

My fiance and I were looking for a nice place to host our engagement dinner. I stumbled upon this place after visiting Nana in downtown Brooklyn and learning that the same owner just opened this place which was closer to everyone. We had about 20 guests in all and everyone was very impressed. Eric and his staff did a great job hosting us and even offered us a champagne toast on the house. There is a large variety of food and the prices are affordable. My fiance and I have been back there again after the dinner and the food is still good and people are extremely helpful and friendly. We will definitely continue to go there and would highly reccomend it.

    Great looking place, decent food.

At first look-You enter a very trendy decorated and expensive looking Restaurant. You feel like you scored when you see the menus extremely low and fair prices. When you get the food, you still feel like you scored, fancy plates and delicious looking. When you start eating you start to realize that the food is pretty average and nothing to write home about, but still good. The food is still worth the money and is pretty fresh. The average entree is under $8.00. Would I recommend it? Sure, why not. With a little changes to the food, Hichi could be a real winner! One more thing, the service was good, nice, friendly people, all smiles. I wish them the Best!

    Welcome to East Willy!

Finally a true Williamsburg Hip Asain bistro makes it a bit further to the east side of Willy. This place is amazing from the moment you walk in with water features and the bathroom is a must with a psychedelic mirror that will leave your head spinning. We even took our 2 yr old daughter and they were more than accommodating for her. The food and service were much better than most in the area and the attention to detail was excellent! Please go eat at this place so more like it will come into the area!

    disappointing

i ordered delivery the other night and got a special sushi roll and curry laksa. the sushi roll was $7 and i was surprised to see it was small and only 5 pieces. usually a special roll is bigger than a regular maki. it tasted fine, but it wasn't worth $7. the laksa was also $7 and a good portion size, but the flavors were totally off and it was bland bland bland. i might give hachi another chance and try some other things off the menu, but i won't be a in a rush.

    Love at first taste

This place is so tasty! We usually order delivery but decided to go there a few weeks ago, the decor was beautiful, atmosphere peaceful and the people were so sweet! The bathroom is super cool also. We asked for mochi and they didn't have it so they brought us a free dessert!! amazing. :o)

    so/so

i ordered the deep sea roll and was disappointed. there were only 5 small pieces, the sushi rice was warmish, and the slices of fish were super thin... a sign of not so great fish OR that they are cheap. the seaweed salad was overpriced too. $14 for what should have been under $12 in my opinion
