Just another spot
I like the fact that this place encourages outdoors eating as well as the fact that they are green. But the food is not as great as it could be.

if you must do HO then it should be the Prince St location
The concept of Habana Outpost (eco-friendly food fare) drew me in....unfortunately after several visits over a 18 month period the concept is not enough to keep coming. The food is unmemorable, the service is okay (at best) and the 'new' security scene is obnoxious (even by NYC standards). If you are in Clinton Hill and you want cuban food try Mojitos and if you want a bar/hangout scene try Moe's (down the street) or half a dozen other spots in the neighborhood. Hopefully the HO opening in Malibu will focus on the food and less on creating a scene for being seen.

Great Corn, Drinks & Vibe
The vibe at this spot is great with a diverse crowd. It is hard to find a seat sometime since people are always hanging out. Great place to eat early on a nice summer day. The corn is the best in the world...

What happened?
Like a bad relative might say, Habana Outpost is "dead to me". Everything I thought it stood for and the view of it I had came crashing down this evening. I have enjoyed coming here for years because it is the one place where Brooklyn comes together. It is a racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic mix of Brooklyn, it is where I would go for a wonderful time to sit and chat with my friends, and it seemed to have an excellent ethos based on community and looking after the earth. You can imagine my shock when we arrived to see this airport style "velvet" rope and two security guards with serious attitude who tried to charge us $10 to get in. Are you kidding? I went to the deli at the corner to ask if HO had been sold because the lovely people who owned it would never do such things. Totally ridiculous! Brooklynites, let's go find somewhere else to meet up because these guys are up their own a**es! But I am sad to have lost one of my favorite places in the borough. :(

Are you kidding me!!
This place is obviously too cool for me. They only deliver a few hours a week and then "just say no" to ordering and going to pick up your order. I like there food but can not always waste my time relaxing at their restaurant. Because they are so annoying with ordering over the phone I will never eat here again. Your food is not made by GOD. Get with it, you are in NY, so DELIVER your food.

Gotta have the Corn
Get's really crowded on Sundays, but it's a really nice crowd. Also, they're known for their corn. You have to purchase at least 2!!!!!

Fun in the Summer!
I love this place and love taking friends here. I think the corn is fabulous and have had tasty burritos. However, the reason to go is the atmosphere! This place cannot be beat for a fun evening in the summer. If you stay a few minutes to will end up talking to others around you and thoroughly enjoying your evening. It's one of a kind and definitely a staple in Brooklyn.
