One hour and 15 minutes to deliver one steak burrito (more like a rice and bean burrito, between you and me) and a side of large guacamole. And by 'large', They mean 4oz. For $4. So basically, an ounce for a dollar. And the taste? Not even very good.

I'm one of those annoying ExPats from Texas who thinks I know mucho mas que tu about texmex, norteno and mexcali feed. And of course, I'm right. I say, Haab typically does you a solid. And the quality is consistent, if not gourmet. After 12 years in NYC I've eaten my share of "Mexican food" We have eaten here almost weekly since moving closer by a year ago. So... yes, we'd recommend digging in. Considering the cuisine and availability of legit ingredients, they are doing well. They are also always friendly and accomodating. Only once was the food slow to the table, so I'm guess that a previous reviewer who complained was there on the same single slow service night I was recently. But then again it takes all kinds, right.

We were very excited to have a good taco place right at our corner. Went the first week it opened and it was ok. Heard from a few people that it was good so decided to give another try. Mistake! We ordered a cheese quesadilla and guacamole for appetizers. Both were decent. But the quesadilla was missing both sour cream and salsa. Then it took about 35 minutes for the rest of our order to come. Ridiculous because there was only one other table who ordered after us. When my sons pasta finally arrived the portion was so small it was sad and barely had any cheese on it so we asked for extra. Finally my husbands tacos and my burrito arrived. My husband took one bite of his taco which had black beans in it and spit it out. The beans were hard and dry and burnt. We told the waitress who looked at us like we were crazy. I had asked for my steak burrito with sour cream which came on the side but tasted off. The rice in my burrito was not great and the pinto beans were def just out of the can. The steak itself was pretty good. When the bill came the waitress mumbled something about taking the taco off but having to charge us for the extra cheese and sour cream. The whole experience was disappointing. Don't bother with this place. We are sad bc we were really hoping for a place we would go to often!

Being from California, I'd have to say this is as close as it gets. The portions are perfect for the price and the meats are grilled on order. The burritos are so delicious and can feed two people who are light eaters. My go tos are the Haab and Chicken Mole burritos. As for the tacos, all are prepared very well. If it's your first time having, I would recommend dining in. Nothing beats the "straight from the kitchen" experience. Delivery is fast, but varies on how busy they are. I have no problem ordering, if I'm not feeling the 10 min walk, but mostly I like to dine in. They have a nice Mexican beer selection, my fave is the 32 oz Corona Familar. Also, the make some killer sangria, red or white. Lastly, they have sweet brunch items. Oh yeah, if you're a sandwich person, you have to try the tortas. The pork tortas is the jam!

I love Mesa Coyocan but sometimes I just want a burrito. Haab is great, especially if you are searching for more Tex-Mex style food (with a bit more emphasis on the "Mex" side). The Al Pastor burrito is great, and the chips and guac are AWESOME. I also love the Haab eggs during brunch hours. Cute little place! Try to sit outside if it is nice out but inside has a cute little back room as well.
