H&H Midtown Bagels East

Always always always ask for whatever bagels are WARM. There's nothing on earth like a fresh from the oven H & H bagel smothered in butter. Their plain bagels are some of the best I've tasted. Everything bagels are good too but less likely to be warm.

These bagels are so good. I have been going there ever since I was a baby, my mom even went there when she was pregnant. Some of them remember me from when I was a baby. The bagels are always delicious, and the cream cheese is always so creamy and hot/warm. I highly recomend this bagel store for any one!

you cannot possibly get a fresher tasting bagel anywhere else

H&H Bagels may have produced a good bagel decades ago, before I came to New York. These days, they're clearly living off that reputation. What they sell now might as well come from some extraterrestrial's form-duplication device: they may look like a bagel, but that's it. If Wonder Bread decided to market a bagel, they couldn't do it because H&H beat 'em to the punch. Bland taste, mealy texture, just dreary stuff.

Always fresh - 2nd ave between 80 and 81. we send bagels through them all the time, especially to our friends who have moved out of state, just to remind them what they are missing.

My favorite bagel around. Fast service by a very competent staff. They have great black and white cookies there as well. Amazing lox spead and lox. An A++++

delicious bagels, try the sourdough and whole wheat. rather large noisy crowded place, cant sit down. they wont cut bagels for you. but its the best bagel youll ever have
