How do they do it?
OK, OK already! It's and adequate bagel....but for $1.40 a pop? You gotta be kidding me. I know inflation is getting bad, but.... What I gotta wonder is just how does this place remain open? Few people are ever in there.

highly overpriced
the bagels here are some of the best in the city. they're delicious. but for the price? give me a break. plus, the place has no atmosphere and the staff aren't particularly pleasant.

Don't believe the hype
I grew up on the upper west side. I've never considered H&H to be anything better than a notch above mediocre. How this place has legendary status is beyond comprehension. You'll find far better, less expensive bagels all over this city.

Seriously overpriced
Not a bad bagel, but a terrible value. Just about any corner grocery store's bagels will be as good and way cheaper. Fairway's are just as good for half the price.

Great bagel Bad price
You have to try their bagels at least once, if you want to understand what a New York bagel is supposed to taste like

Great bagels
This place just has great bagels. A bit pricey at around $1 each, but worth it. When you order ask them for what's hot and fresh and they'll let you know what just came out of the oven. I'm a big fan of sesame bagels and they're fabulous here.

Hot bagels!
I am surprised to see only 1 review. This is THE place for FRESH and HOT bagels in NYC. The only downside is that they only sell the bagel "as-is" meaning they do not toast and butter etc for you however once you taste them HOT that becomes a non-issue and you will find yourself coming out of the remote-est corners of the island in search for that piping-hot-fresh-out of-the-oven-tasty-bagel. There simply is no comparison to any other bagel.
