Great Atmosphere
This is a great restaurant. The food is really good, and has a great atmosphere and decor one of the best, in the east village. You will not be disappointed

BBq anyone?
The food here is fresh and delicious! I was stuffed like silly! It was my second time there, coz I have a friend loves this place to death. We got the salad (yummy), and the meats, and eel and rice bibimbap(?). The kalbi is awesome. Would go back. Good for birthday parties too, but not of a massive size? It was a bit more on the expensive side. Paid about $40+.

Excellent food, cool atmosphere.
Food was amazing, one of my favorite places in Manhattan. Service was fine, no complaints, but nothing special. Value, don't think this place merrits only $$ but is reasonable for how good it is. Atmosphere is really nice, would go back here for a date or to take my parents out. Got the Samuari for 2 for $90 and her is my take. Ahi Poke (tuna app), good, nothing too special. Salad, fantastic, and that is a strong statement cause I hate salad. Seeweed soup, very flavorful. Kobe Kalbi (Kobi) very good, nice marbled meat. Kalbi (beef ribs), best red meat portion of the meal. Harimi (skirt steak), very good. Chilean Sea Bass, absolutely amazing. Cooked up perfectly in the foil packet. Tied with Kalbi for best part of the meal. Shrimp and garlic, just that, was good and really fresh, but nothing new or innovative here. Bibimba (fried rice), awesome, must have this along with the salad regardless of what else you get. Dorayaki (Japanese pancakes and ice cream), innovative, the pancakes are not what you expect once you heat them up and it goes perfectly with the red bean paste and ice cream. Lastly, the smores, not really something you can mess up, but for nostalgia sake, completes the meal. Overall comments, I will be back, and soon.

Awsome-O
Excellent from top to bottom, food was great, service was very pleasing, the only thing is cooking your own food is a little overwhelming at first, but I'm sure it will grow on me and you. FUN TIMES.

Amazing
This is definitely the best restaurant i have ever been to. The food is absolutely amazing as well as the service. One of the best date places, if not the best, in the east village. You will not be disappointed.

Great food great service
I came here with a friend the other day for the happy hour. Not only was the food delicious, but our waitress was courteous, helpful, and absolutely adorable. The management at Gyukaku really deserve some sort of award for their training program as our server was still "in training" but gave us some of the best service I've ever encountered in New York. I will DEFINITELY come again and again.
