I'd rate the food if I tried it...
Asked if they could make a simple substitution...a banana instead of potatoes with the western omelet...wouldn't do it even though I mentioned that I have dietary restrictions where I can't eat the potatoes. They would reather lose business than make a heathly substitution...goes completely against their philosophy...from their website: "Our philosophy is to serve our customers the best and more nutritious food possible." (Yes there is an error in their language...should be most not more)...Will never go there and wouldn't suggest it to anyone.

Not recommended
The food is always late and cold upon arrival! they forget and bring the wrong order! I paid $10.65 for a Large cajun chicken salad w/ bacon and Boccacino mozzarella; of course they forget it again and sent me a pre packaged salad with pesto, tomatoes and cajan chicken with caesar dressing lable says $7.95... Don't forget they took the croutons out of this 1 because it states it on the lable (With croutons)

Bad and good
Good soups, some good sandwiches, very bad tasting bagels (quality has really gone down) coffee is good, service is so/so, nice new place, paid $2.15 for a small bag of pita chips! be careful, each of the G&G stores charges different prices for the same things

Love this place!
Like Sue and Heather my husband and I and our 2 friends stayed just round the corner from this place, arrived home on Tuesday 21 Sept. We had breakfast there every morning apart from the first morning. Excellent service, food, everything! We thoroughly recommend it and I even brought a menu home to pass on to some friends going to NYC next year.

Best Cafe in New York
1st time visitors to New York, Mum & I were staying not far from this cafe so popped in there for breakfast and lunch on a number of occasions. The food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and the decor very inviting. The restaurant was busy on each occasion we were there which is testament to how fantastic the food and service was. I would highly recommend this cafe to anybody I know who is visiting New York!

Great Food-Very full and very happy.
Guy & Gallard is right across the street from my work. Unfortunately, I've past by it so many times. I stopped there, today, ordered the grouper with a choice of two sides (mushroom barley and green beans) for $9.95 for take-out. The portions are abundant and everything was very flavorful, healthy and fresh. The restaurant filled up quickly as I waited for my lunch. I can not comment on the dine-in service, but I did see the manager greeting each patron and checking in on all the diners. Decor is very sleek and clean. Wish they had a location uptown near my home as would go there for dinner.
