    not great

We had a great waitress, but she could not save the greasy, heavy food. Another time we got to go and most of the stuff was cold (understandable somewhat). Don't think I'll be going back soon.

    Delicious and well-executed comfort food

I had read some scathing reviews and was also a little concerned about the high carb/fat content of the menu. But having eaten there, the food is carefully prepared, much more complex than you would think, and delicious. I couldn't finish my sandwich (not usually a problem) and the dogs were happy to oblige later. The servers have been attentive and very, very pleasant.

    Delicious, Fun Food

There's so much to explore on this menu. The green gazpacho is probably the best I've ever tasted. Their mozzarella balls are the best version of fried mozzarella I've ever had (inexpensive, too). Other favorites: mac and cheese, meatloaf, crispy chicken with giblet gravy. Nice beer list when you eat in and very, very nice staff.

    Greasy

This is old-fashioned TGIF type stuff with a little extra fluff. They should get the oil hotter so the fried food is not so soggy.

    Can't wait to go back!

Definitely some of the most tasties comfort grub I've had. The mozzarella balls were unbelievable! Better than any stick I've tried before. I am a huge fan of done up mac and cheese and they definitely nailed it. Noodles were perfect. I had the gruyere burger and let me tell you, this was out of this world. Gruyere, bacon, fried egg, and onion rings, with fries on the side - omfg! The beef was excellent. And it paired nicely with the pitcher of beer we had. The space was cozy, service rocked (server was wearing a backwards cap which seemed pretty funny), and the dessert - apple crisp with walnut ice cream - heavenly! Will be going back soon! Thanks G & G!

    A bit greasy but good

Def. better than fast food, and the service was good.

    Better than I though

I was really impressed with my visit to Gus & Gabriel. My girlfriend and I visited right as they were opening for dinner service, so we were literally the only patrons for the majority of our meal and I can't speak for the normal atmosphere. I ordered the French Dip and my girlfriend ordered the Mexi-Mac & Cheese. Both items were great. Nice beer selection, not overly expensive. The service was terrific - they made us feel comfortable. The menu looks great and for the area it's one of the best options for some comfort food and a beer. I will be back - check it out for yourself
