Guantanamera

The food was very good. We actually liked the food better than Calle Ocho and Victors. Great skirt steak and ropa veja. The skirt steak portion was large The ropa portion was a little small but the best we had. The entertainment was good but loud. Overall it was very good.

My suckling pig was anything but suckling!!! the rice and beans were dry, the mojitos had a lot of ice. the best part was the music. I had a good time but the food was mediocre. I would go back to listen to the music and probably sit by the bar instead of getting a table and eating.

It was freezing outside and my frind and I went in and had a pleasant surprice. The food was delicious and comforting. The place was beautifully decorated and the ambiance festive. The service was really good, they made us feel special.

Had enjoyed this place previously. 30 minutes after ordering still no appetizers. waiter seemed surprised they hadn't come. 20 minutes later, still none. waiter still surprised. 20 minutes later, still none. still surprised. To add insult, at one point some apps came out and were put in front of us, then taken away when they realized they weren't ours (even though they matched what we had ordered. that made us laugh). They finally come, and the empanadas are cold on the inside, calamari was room temp. Of course the meal comes closely after that, and they try to take away apps we haven't even finished yet, after all that. Never an apology, nothing given for free, even asked if we wanted dessert after we had been there 2.5 hours! yeah, we're gonna wait for that. Food is pretty good and upstairs is festive, but there are too many good places in this neighborhood to put up with that kind of nonsense.

I really like this place, I order from them all the time, my favorite, the Cuban sandwich. On girls night my friends and I go for delicious mojitos, strong and tasty. I recommend all flavors.

We went with friends to Guantanamera on Saturday night for my birthday. We feel right at home. Lives music and food were great. Now I’m looking forward for my wife birthday. The restaurant rocked.

They charged me three times to collect for one meal. And the third time was a week after I had dinner there, they also gave themselves an extra $10 tip! Running a card three times is unacceptable.
