Worth the Wait
I came here expecting to be disappointed. "The best of" restaurants don't often live up to their reputations. But this is excellent pizza. The ingredients are fresh-- no olives from a can here. Pizzas have real, non-greasy mozzarella. The service, however, is not so gourmet. This feels like a neighborhood place-- no frills. Expect to wait at least an hour to be seated. But it was definitely worth the wait.

heating oven?
I really don't like it when the waiters tell you that it'll be at least 30 min wait because they are re-heating the oven. Why can't they tell you before they seat you? It happened to me several times so I stopped going. Too bad...I loved their pizza!

Best pizza hands down
I love their pizza so much at this point its hard to get any toppings, the combo of just crust, cheese and sauce with fresh basil isa heaven!! The atmosphere is that of any good pizzeria, basic, clean, quick and what else do you need? I've been to Spumoni gardens, Difaro's, Rosarios, Lombardi's, NONE match the consisent level of Grimaldi's- go after 1 on a weekday or in groups of four or less.

Not the Best
Heard so much about this place that we wakled across the Brooklyn bridge on a nice sunny afternoon hoping for a great pizza. It was just OK. Nothing special. The wait was approximately one hour but was enjoyable on the sunny Sunday aftrernoon. The place is cramped, the table cloth was plain. All they do is place a paper menu on the table with a knife, plate, fork and paper napkin. All this aside, this would be tolerable if the pizza was something special. It wasn't. Too many times a retaurant gets a reputation that, though not warranted, is perpetuated by those who do not know good food. This place is one of them.

Great food, ok everything else
Best pizza in brooklyn, don't expect anything too nice inside. particularly the service. lines can be out the door on the weekends and the definitely try to move you out once you're done. despite all this i keep going back because of the best pizza in brooklyn.

Best Pizza Around
If you want the best pizza in NYC - come here. While you might have to wait in line, be seated in incredibly uncomfortable and cramped seats, and be treated badly by the staff - its still worth the reward which is their pizza. I have been to Johns, Lombardi's, Joe's, Rae's, Rays, etc - and still there is no comparison. Just be warned that its cash-only and their ATM has been on the fritz for a while. I go at least once a month for their pizza. Try to go weekdays or off-hours during the weekend if you don't want to wait too long. Not a great place for a date as the service is rushed and its not a good place to sit around for drinks either. Just Pizza - get in, eat, get out.

Best Pizza in Brooklyn!
The pizza here is AMAZING! But make sure you plan on waiting in line...the line streches out the door, especially if you go on a weekend!
