Food was tasteless...they skimp on everything - bought takeout biryani and lunch bowl, no raita, no chutney...nothing but rice and very few pieces of vegetables, not even spicy...avoid it

I am a dosa nut - get them every chance that I get. I have gotten mysore masala dosa from 44th St three times now, and it has tasted different each time. The last time was just disappointing because this is the kind of thing they should do perfectly. OK for the price, but I'll stick to dosa from Jersey.

this is my daily stop for great cheap eat. Friendly service, with awesome desi flavor. You have to try the Tandoori Chicken (made on order). By far it is the best Tandoori Chicken I have had in the city

Being Indian, you know good indian food. This has the standard fare, but the complete lack of spice makes it pretty boring. The delivery service is sub par. After saying the food would be 20-30 minutes, it was not there 1.5 hrs later. After calling them, I was told that the delivery guy was there for 15 minutes. I had been standing outside the office for 15 min and no one had been there. 10 minutes later, he shows up and says he stopped outside the office, and despite having the floor number, didn't buzz up to be let in and instead left. Maybe the restaurant is good, but I wouldn't order from there, especially since the food isn't worth the hassle.

I used to work at a falafel store when in high school and this is NOT what a falafel should taste like. The pita sandwich was made quite well with hummus and generous salads but the falafel balls themselves were hard and tasteless. While eating my falafel the sandwich broke off, quite normal, especially when they're loaded with hummus and salad. I proceeded to eat the rest of it with a fork and could not put a fork in the rock-hard falafel balls! Falafel's should be soft and you should be able to slice into it with the side of your fork - I had trouble achieving the same with a knife! That said, the servers were very nice and the Indian food looked delectable. I'll be back to try something else, but definitely not the falafel again! For those looking for good traditional, authentic falafel's in the city try Sam's cart,(downtown), Ali Baba (opposite the much talked about Mamouns and way better) or Chickpea.

This is really an excellent place to eat good north india food and some delicious falafel. The owner is an indian guy and keeps the food quite spicy but yet delecoius enough to suit the american pallete too...and talk about prices....absolute value for money. Normally i have north indian food here....but recently had Dosa and that too was fabulous....a must try place.
