    Not a real falafel

I used to work at a falafel store when in high school and this is NOT what a falafel should taste like. The pita sandwich was made quite well with hummus and generous salads but the falafel balls themselves were hard and tasteless. While eating my falafel the sandwich broke off, quite normal, especially when they're loaded with hummus and salad. I proceeded to eat the rest of it with a fork and could not put a fork in the rock-hard falafel balls! Falafel's should be soft and you should be able to slice into it with the side of your fork - I had trouble achieving the same with a knife! That said, the servers were very nice and the Indian food looked delectable. I'll be back to try something else, but definitely not the falafel again! For those looking for good traditional, authentic falafel's in the city try Sam's cart,(downtown), Ali Baba (opposite the much talked about Mamouns and way better) or Chickpea.

    Excellent! Excellent! Excellent!

This is really an excellent place to eat good north india food and some delicious falafel. The owner is an indian guy and keeps the food quite spicy but yet delecoius enough to suit the american pallete too...and talk about prices....absolute value for money. Normally i have north indian food here....but recently had Dosa and that too was fabulous....a must try place.

Good quality - value of money

This is a great hole in the wall take away with about seating for 10. You can watch them cook. Very friendly and fast service. Long line for lunch. I love the spicy and tasty food. My fave is the tandoori chicken ($ 8 with rice or naan) and the seekh kebab Kathi roll ($ 6). A must try.

Fast, tasty and clean indian food

This is a great place where we have eaten for last 2 years. But it doesn’t just stay the same, every time we go there’s something different on the lunchtime buffet. This buffet is great. It’s 6.95 and you get a selection of great curry stuff and bread, all Indian style. The decor is kind of dated. It’s clean. The best thing is that whoever does the cooking (all veggie) really LOVES doing it. You can just tell from the nice way it’s laid out and the good ingredients. This place is a gem. There are other places nearby copying it but they’re not as good. You don’t go there for the style but for the food and the value for money. .

great catering for your office meeting

I regularly host office parties for meetings in our office. Grill44 has always been on time, fresh food and courteous service. ( Maybe because the order is over $ 200 – ha ha) What I like about them is I can mix and match especially for meetings where we need finger / dry food. People are bored of traditional wraps and platters – so I discovered Kathi rolls. They are parathas (Indian bread not made in the oven but on a pan) with Chicken Tikka, Paneer, Potato and Lamb Kebabs (Seekh) served along with Cilantro Chutney and tamarind sauce. With this I get Appetizers of Samosa, Falafel (they serve the traditional style) , Humus and grape leaves. For drinks try Mango lassi – people love it instead of sodas.

will never order from them again!

I called in an order and received the wrong order. I order the platter for lunch which was $14.00 and got a chicken kabob platter-- a lesser valued plate. I called to complain and the person told me they "wouldn't do anything about it because they didnt' have lamb"... they didn't even bother calling to let me know this. I asked to speak to the manager and she refused to put the manager on the phone. Will NEVER order from here again.

    Late, inaccurate delivery

Food is OK. Service is not. Consistently late deliveries for lunch (20-60 minutes longer than expected). Messed up orders are the norm. Will never order from here again.
