Love this restaurant! Food is amazing at an amazing price and owners/workers take great care of you. It gets pretty busy during peak hours but that's just a testament to the quality of the place. Definitely eat here!

    Homemade bread, desserts and soup...yum!

I stumbled upon this hidden gem on the UWS and decided to give it a try. I was immediately taken back by the large portions. I ordered the chicken yeminite soup, which was served piping hot with a HUGE full loaf of fresh delicious bread. The soup contained fresh chicken still on the bone, which is a rare find.(not shredded leftovers). Although stuffed, I overheard that hamentashen is almost ready...coming straight from the oven so, I obviously gave that a try too. The dough was light, filling was plentiful and it was a wonderful way to end my meal. I haven't tried other dishes yet, but the trip is well worth it for their chicken yeminite soup and baked goods alone. I will certainly be returning. I hear they make great cakes to order...if you ask.

    What a lovely find!

We went to this neighborhood restaurant based on the 3 reviews on this site. The owner and employees are friendly and warm, the food plentiful and delicious, and the atmosphere down-to-earth, just a few tables in back, but diners are friendly to each other. The breads (kubana, laffa, and pita) are wonderful, and the soups flavorful. We went back a second night because it was so haimish!

    Great Find

Unusual, interesting Middle Eastern food, great value. You don't have to be kosher to love the place. Great soups and salad bar. The married couple who own the place are most friendly and accommodating.

What a find. Great kosher food at reasonable prices. I love the baby chicken and also that they deliver whatever salads you want, and are so generous with the salad portions. My dad, who has something negative to say about everything, could literally not stop talking about how amazing his hamburger was. He insists it was made of chopped steak. It was perfect. We order from there about once a week.
