Went for lunch and ordered turkey burger. Came out pasty looking--sort of bland mush. My guest's salad did not come out at all, as the woman at the counter claimed we never ordered it. Our table was not clean. We quickly went elsewhere and I won't be back...ever.

I came here for lunch last week, ordered a chicken club on challah and pecan pie, and ended up staying hours just reading and people watching. It's incredibly spacious, so you don't feel pressured to give up your table, and the overall atmosphere is really chill. The club was really good, but I paid extra for a side salad instead of chips that was pretty mediocre. The pie was HUGE. Big enough to feed 2 or 3 people-the kind of portion I'd serve myself if I were having a really crappy day. The service was quick and friendly, the only thing I really didn't love was the fact that you had to get up to get napkins, water, etc. and that my lunch (with tip) came to about $22. Still, I'm planning on coming back again and again.

The bottom of a coffee pot + tastless milk froth on top does not a cappuccino make.

for the past several years i have been lucky enough to live near a Grey Dog, howver, this particular one is especially friendly and amazing. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Grey Dog Club with roast beaf..I never order sandwiches with beef, but this one is to die for..order it with toasted challah. I live a black away, and even when I am too lazy to go and get it myself, it is always warm and delicious when it gets to my door. The hot chocolate is also exceptional. My only complaint is that it is a bit pricey for what it is, however without fail, anytime I've ordered delivery, which has been so amny times, the delivery boy is always super hot and extremely affable..but in the way that seems like he actually believes in what he;s doing...which is rare...ive only experienced that with the guys from Tea and Sympathy, and thats a brittish joint so i just assume thats part of their schtick. Bottom Line: GREY DOG AMAZING! #Winner (had to)

Some people complain about the price...hello, this is New York. I actually thought the pricing was quite all right for a New York City cafe. And I love the laid-back but stylish atmosphere and menu of this cafe. Especially this one in Chelsea, so spacious. Quite surprised. Staff there are friendly and welcoming! Nice that they serve beer and wine.

Meager fare. High price. Would not recommed this place to anybody other than a CEO of a flourishing banking business. PB&J cost us $6.95! They try to hide behind a facade of natural wood and silly framed cartoons (sold for over $200), but when it comes down to it, does anyone want to spend $6.95 for some white bread with Skippy and Jam? We will not go back.
