For me, this might be the best sushi in New York. I really can't complain about anything - an almost perfect meal.

My husband and I just got home from our first (but not last) dinner in the restaurant upstairs and our experience was delightful all over. Each dish we got was perfect, the avocado beet salad was fresh and crisp, the marinated seafood appetizer had vibrant flavors, the penne with a pork ragu came steaming hot and it had a gentle spicy kick to it, the sea urchin spaghettini had a delicious balance between the sweetness of the uni and the saltiness of the clams, the matcha meringue roll was light and very flavorful but not too sweet, the yuzu sake (oh, how heavenly and refreshing!) and the white tea went perfectly with it. Service was a pleasant mix of professional, smooth, friendly and helpful but in a way almost invisible. Everything came at the right time, at the right temperature and with a smile. The décor is simple, tasteful and romantic. For the quality and attention you get here the prices are reasonable. We wished we would have discovered this place earlier We’ll be back soon … really soon.

I stumbled upon the Greenwich Grill 2 years ago when looking for a good restaurant for a first date. I fell in love with the restaurant and return any chance I get. Everything about this place is spectacular. The food is outstanding and they have some of the best sushi in the city, The staff is quick, helpful, and very friendly. The atmosphere is simply perfect (especially for a date); it's laid back, quiet, there's tasteful music playing at just the right volume, it's perfect. What makes this place really special is that it really is relatively hidden. It's on a quiet street in a quiet corner of the city, and the exterior is so discreet that you wouldn't even notice it unless you were looking for it. Obviously I highly recommend the Greenwich Grill/Sushi Azabu for ANY lunch/dinner function. But I must stress how perfect this place is for a romantic dinner. I just can't say enough good things about it.

My office moved to Tribeca last year and in the first week, I discovered this hidden gem. Since then, I consider myself a lunchtime regular. I have yet to eat anything here that I didn't completely love. The lunch pre-fixe is one of the best deals in the area. Their italian/japanese fusion dishes are amazing and the in my office the hamburgers are legendary. All this being said, the sushi is also amazing.

I lived in Japan for 2 years and have been back in NYC for 2 weeks and I have searched hard for some sort of restaurant that would remind me of my time in Japan. This restaurant hit it right on the head. I liked everything about it. The food was good, the customer service was excellent and the young ladies were very easy on the eyes. Thank you for making awesome sushi. Will go back again, this time with a friend. Domo Arigato

We just got delivery from this place... considering they were so into their own food that they would only deliver certain items off the menu I thought things were going to work out. When reality checked in, I had finished the most disappointing meal since my move to NYC. Chicken was fat and salt, and I love fat and salt, but not by themselves. The fried calamari is most certainly from costco. The sushi (my partner says) was good but not better than anywhere else that charges half the price and serves larger portions. The delivery guy showed up without the receipt. Huh? The bottles of water however... fabulous. I am not a normal review basher, and maybe if you eat at the restaurant it is a different experience, but after what just happened I don't plan on testing out that theory.

We waited till 9:30pm on a Monday night and I honestly did not care - the sushi is some of the best I've had in the city. The waiters are very friendly and helpful.although a bit difficult to understand since they are from Japan. While it is definitely a pricey meal, it was worth every bite. Get the black cod (it comes with a berry that you eat at the end that I have never tasted before - it was the most delicious berry I have ever had). The sushi menu is not overwhelming, but has a very nice selection - I'm allergic to shellfish, so I had fluke, snapper, salmon and multiple tunas with different levels of fattiness. For dessert there was a delicious meringue with ice cream, berries and a chestnut covering - again, like nothing I have ever had before.
