Green Symphony

The food is great, the choice is varied in this tiny busy little restaurant. But the best part is the owners who are incredible. I had thought I'd lost my wallet, and when the owners of this restaurant found it, they put someone on the train to get it to me just in time. They are amazing! Awesome food, even better people!

I have been in the neighborhood for 15 years and just learned of Green Symphony this month. I think mostly because of its location, I would have never thought of getting food between 8th and 7th on 43rd st. But I was sick a few weeks ago, and decided to do a search for good healthy food in the area, as I have become under-whelmed with Zen Palate, which used to be the only choice. So Green Symphony popped up. I decided to give it a shot. Boy was I rewarded! The food is just delicious and so fresh. The menu that is offered here is very good, but the real experience is from going there. It is actually somewhat of a hole-in-the-wall joint, but a very warm atmosphere and not anything that you would expect for Times Square. Their homemade hot bar food is always great, as is the cold bar. They have an endless selection of tasty sweet bars, all homemade. And their free range chicken is absolutely delicious, especially in the rice bowls. Also, when they have it, the Korean BBQ chicken in the hot bar is AMAZING! It turns out they opened about 8-9 years ago, and I can't believe I missed them for so long. But now that I've found them, it's easily my favorite place to order from in the area. If you're looking for healthy, fresh and delicious, Green Symphony is the place!

Green Symphony is a well priced healthy option. They have great vegetarian and vegan options, i appreciate that they use vegan mayonaise. Juices are good too and I really like the baked goods as well. Also, delivery is fast.

My girlfriend and I traveled from Maine for a vacation in Manhattan. We are both vegetarian, and love to find "hole in the wall" restaurants. Taking some tips from other reviewers, we found this place for lunch. What I loved most is it seems mostly locals frequent this place on their lunch breaks, etc. We didn't want the "chain/tourist" type restaurant and didn't get it. Green Symphony is part grocer, part cafeteria, part restaurant. Several "bars" are arranged in the rear....hot food, cold salad and entrees....simply grab a plate or "to go" container and fill away. The selection was a vegetarians dream, and even for meat eaters...lots of wholesome, tasty, filling food. Lots of really good items I seldom see in places in Maine, unless my girlfriend and I make them ourselves. Juice bar has Remedy juice blends and smoothies, all of which look delicious! There's GF cookies/pastry, nice selection of gourmet chocolate, "healthy" chips and snack foods, and tons of options for cold drinks to go. We wanted to go again for breakfast but it didn't work out. The only negatives I have, and this would go for most buffet style service, is that some items were not as hot as they could have been. I'm sure they were maintained at 140° safe temp but perhaps some had sat there for a while, though one man was watching, filling and cleaning the entire time. Great FAST service, just a half dozen small tables is you eat in, but still works out fine. If you want tasty, healthy food, at a great price....check out Green Symphony....easy to find with a map, very walkable from Times Square. We loved it and will go again next time we vacation in NYC!

I've only ordered delivery and the service speed has been top notch. The food is very good, too. I love the "Grilled Free-Range Chicken Deluxe" - delectable and healthy to boot. Smoothies are good too, and they surprisingly travel well. Recommended.

very disappointed on my order delivered june 14 2012 at 1:15 PM ! First they forgot to to deliver the juice I ordered (green juice) second the green symphony salad was small and basic no much going on. AVOID!

California Style Turkey Wrap was the size of my fist (im a girl). rice bowl was decent but the lettus was unappetizing. they should really spend more time washing it thoroughly. quality was decent. the person who got my order forgot to send me the juice i ordered. when i called she snapped and said 'i didn't charge you for it' and i said 'that's not the point, i didn't get the item i ordered' and she goes 'ok i will send it to you but you have to pay for it'... umm..really? how about 'i apologize for the mistake. you'll get your order shortly'..??
