Green Kitchen

Was looking forward to the re-opening of the Green Kitchen...let me tell you I wasn't disappointed. The food was great. After much debate, I finally ordered the Italian Panini, and it was delicious. The waitress was friendly and very patient as I kept changing my mind as to what to order. The atmosphere inside was comfortable and welcoming. I am definately going to be a regular again.

This place has everything on the menu that you could ever imagine, which makes it extremely difficult to decide what to order. The food was okay for diner food and the prices were decent.

We've always passed by and finally decided to try it. The atmosphere inside is wonderful, we love how they've improved the old diner! The menu is definitely extensive and the prices decent. Our food (I ordered the salmon w/ capers panini and my hubby got the turkey panini...we shared the stuffed mushroom with crabmeat as appetizer) was good...not anything memorable. Overall, a good diner worth trying.

New owners have perked the place up a bit and we've put it back into uur rotation of area diners we order out from. Pancakes pretty good, chicken sandwiches better, the veggie entrees could use some work -- there's only so many radishes you'd like to eat -- but the food comes fast and tis tasty.

Having ate at the original a few times but being a 3 Star regular I had not ventured across the street to the "new" Green Kitchen until this past weekend when my friend and I could not immediately be seated at 3 Star, I was excited for something different. It was a Sunday morning and quite busy. My friend and I were seated and ordered almost immediately. This is where the problems began. #1 My coffee did not arrive until we tracked down our waitress where she promptly blamed the busboys - when it was finally brought out it was brought to the wrong table #2 I had ordered french toast and sasuage - we would have been better off eating the french toast from my fridge #3 My friend ordered eggs - she was not offered a choice of toast and white toast came out at a random point midway through the meal #4 A random check also arrived midway point of our meal that clearly was not ours...suffice to say the food was mediocre at best and the service was poor.

I have not been to this place in a while, I saw the sign under new management. I had dinner, I am so glad they had the classic menu again, the food was delicious the staff were friendly and helped me with the menu. The menu has lot of variety. The prices are a great value. Cannot wait to try some more items on the menu. First class

I live on 77th Street and walk past Green Kitchen every day on my way to work. I couldn't wait for the renovations to be complete. I went in for dinner the first day it reopened and had the smoked salmon panini with a side salad. Delicious! Healthy, great sized portion, not too huge, and quite tasty. My friends had the warm goat cheese salad and chicken quesadilla, both great. I went back last week and all three of us ordered the mini burgers. AMAZING! I am obsessed with burgers and these were perfectly juicy. Our appetizer was great too- the portobello mushroom and goat cheese. Perfect cheese to mushroom ratio and the roasted red pepper sauce was a scrumptious addition. The only downside was that the service was a tad bit slow when we finished up our meal, but it didn't bother us because we used the extra time to digest and reflect upon our wonderful meal. I'll be returning ASAP, possibly even tonight!
