Copy Cats
So the food is great. These guys worked at a bbq chain in nyc for 15 years and stole the recipes. There is only one other restaurant in NYC with Hush Puppies with Maple Butter and they do it even better.

Went from incomparable to just great
I have to agree with Rachael that the food quality has dropped off a bit since they first opened. When I first ordered there, the brisket was so tender it practically fell apart when you touched it. I suspect that, as demand has increased, they've cut back on smoking time or something. It's still some of the best BBQ in NYC, and a terrific value, but I do long for that virgin rush!

Awesome BBQ in NYC
I am from the South and I simply LOVE this place! The other reviewers are right-the BBQ sauce and the sides are to die for:) The eat-in experience is too cramped so I order delivery. Also double-check your order b4 hanging up since I've had some mistakes on my orders. But the food makes up for just about everything! YUM!

excellent sauce
when this place first opened their bbq was amazing, but as they've stayed open longer i've noticed that they've been cutting corners in their food quality. the meat tends to be fattier than it used to and the gravy for the mashed potatoes doesn't taste the same, hence why i don't order as much as i used to. but i do have dreams about their bbq sauce, which is one of the best i've ever had! you will literally lick your fingers.

Delicious BBQ!
I really enjoyed my dinner from Green Apple BBQ (they delivered 16 blocks away for me, and it arrived piping hot)! The sauce on the tender spare ribs was the perfect combination of spicy and sweet, and the mac and cheese was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place!
