Scared until I saw menupages!
I would have NEVER tried this place. Chinese restaurants can be scary! But after reading everyone's reviews, I gave it a shot. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised. The prawns with walnuts was first rate! The egg foo young had a gravy that melted in my mouth. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the chicken fried rice. It wasn't bad, but it's not traditional and it did have some dark meat. I'll order again for sure. The value is superb. The delivery was fast. My new ol' standby!

Great for take-out!
This place has THE BEST food. It's so good and the prices are crazy cheap! But, the place is very small and the atmosphere is not that great. The food is great, but make sure you get take-out from it and not dine in.

Yummy Food, Fast Delivery
I was very surprised when I saw the bill... the food here is cheap and good. Delivery is very quick also.... You get alot of food for a great price!

Cheapest Great Chinese in Upper East!
Great Wall is my favorite take out Chinese place in Upper East. Their food is consistantly good and you can't beat the price! You can't get Eggplant & Chickent for $4.50 anywhere else in this neighborhood! When they closed all the sudden for 3 days due to a bolier problem, all my neighbors were so upset! We are glad that they didn't close the business. Highly recommended for cheap eat!

Surprisingly Excellent
I ordered based on the reviews, and was amazed at the high quality of the ingredients & preparation, especially considering this is a tiny take-out place (which is the reason for the low "atmosphere" rating). Each ingredient (beef, chicken, shrimp, and a huge variety of vegetables) was perfectly cooked -- no half-raw veggies, which I've gotten from fancier places and do not like. Sauce was flavorful, not at all greasy. Delivery was quick and pleasant.

Looks Can Be Deceiving
When I ordered from Great Wall, it was my first time ordering. I was very surprised about the quick and speedy delivery. When I opened my delivery, I was very disapointed by the looks of my meal, but when I decided to take a bite, BOY was I surprised. It was one of the best things I have ever tasted. Take my word for it, order from Great Wall. The delivery men are wonderful too!

The Best Upper East Side Take Out
This place is very good. The food is very good, the service is good. Cheap prices for high quality good Chinese food. It's like a piece of Chinatown on Lexington Ave. Yup. Great Wall. Gimme Some!
