Tasty food/consistently poor service
I work in the service industry and consider myself to be extremely forgiving with servers/baristas/bartenders. The service at the great jones spa cafe is so poor- I feel like i am on an episode of candid camera. I like the food but the employees are so shockingly unprofessional that I will stop going for months at a time. Then for some reason or another I will wander back in hoping that things have changed. And when I call to place an order- I am amazed at the low standards of the cafe. Orders are forgotten, out of ingredients, tons of attitude and slow as a pack of snails strung out on morphine.

Fresh, healthy, great neighborhood go-to
Love the GJ Spa Cafe - A great selection of fresh, healthy eats - smoothies, wraps, salads, quick bites and a large variety of teas. A meal to walk-away feeling great about the +servings of fruit/veg yet very satisfying and filling. It's a great NOHO spot during the work-day, I like to call ahead to pick up. The interior is just OK - a few bar-top tables and counter seating at window. Not a place to really settle down for a leisure meal and drink. Comments below on service address the very casual vibe and counter ordering only - usually only 1 or 2 people are staffed. Items are a bit more expensive but worth it. Enjoy!

expensive but worth it
Eating here makes me feel great all day. Yes it is expensive but the quality of ingredients is very high and everything I have gotten here has been delicious. It's not for everyday but it is great when I'm felling rundown and need some raw vegetables.

Response to below review
I eat regularly at GJ Cafe bc it's close to my job and I don't have a lot of time. The service can be hit or miss. Although in response to the other review here, the cafe is attached to a Spa. There are a lot of therapists who eat there as well. They work in the Spa not the Cafe. So it's not like a Massage Therapist is going to take your order. I have waited next to some of them while they too are waiting for food.

Terrible Service
I went there after a luxurious few hours at the Great Jones Spa. I'm not your typical hoity-toity gal, so it doesn't take a lot to please me. However, when my mother and I walked in no one even tried to help us. We stood by the counter, motioned to the guy behind the counter, said "hello" and all that. We really wanted to go there so we waited until he decided to get off the phone (never once acknowledging us) and then didn't know anything about what we wanted to order. There was another employee who entered and walked right past us as well as yet another who was at the counter texting. No one even bothered to look up. We were the only people there. That doesn't surprise me. We got so frustrated with them that we walked out without being served at all.
